Did he think he had to score on 4th down? He could have have run and picked up 12-15 yards on the play. It was wide open. It's crazy as hell that we are even in these games with half an offense.

It looked like he was focused on the receivers and the last Bama guy may have blocked his view of how open the field was

Yea, the guy on scholarship at a major program has no idea how overtime works.

This place has been a cesspool of stupid today.

If the middle of the field was open as much for Jennings as it was, just think what Dak Prescott can do to Bama. Geaux Bulldogs!!

He had been running all night. Why throw in double coverage? Could have kept it going and had first down inside the 15. He seemed confused on that play.

He admitted as much, said now that he saw film... He realizes he should have thought to run it to 1st down

Had guys in the NFL that didn't know that a game could end in a tie

Jennings does not like to run. I know all the idiots like to call him a dual threat QB because he is black, but the kid really doesn't like to run. It is not instinctive for him to run.

Funny you say that because he was talking to the trainer before he ran out to start the series. Looks like he was asking about what yard line they would start from.

How is that in anyway analogous to thinking Jennings didn't know he could pick up a first down?

Congrats on adding to the cesspool.

He knows the rules, but can't make a quick decision. One trick pony. I'm throwing to Dural on one sideline or Dupre on the other! Or panic. Same old same old. Put McGee in the wildcat!

Which is horrible because he can't pass either.

Lots of things happening out on the field and to expect a relatively inexperienced QB to factor everything and make the absolute best decision is asking too much. He knew he had one play to get the first down. Not sure why the play had to be to the end zone three times in a row, but he put the ball where it had to be on every down in overtime.

He did what the coaches told him to do. If he'd run for it and hadn't gotten the first he would have taken plenty of heat for it. Keep in mind that he had no idea if a fast LB was on the other side of that hulking line blocking his view.

What exactly about our QB play screams "prepared as one would expect"?

He was obviously overwhelmed by the moment and just didn't see it. Hopefully he gets better.
