Did Guice Take a Dive for the Boosters and Alleva

Seems pretty obvious that Guice "took a dive" to kill the O train momentum. First the highly uncharacteristic fumble at the 3 then running up the middle to the right of Etling when the play was the play was intended to go to the left pylon. Again an uncharacteristic mental error from Guice who has been incredible and reliable all year.

The field goal holder fumble was legit. But Guice's errors seem fishy.

To me it looks like he did it intentionally to clear the way for Jimbo. Alleva clearly thought the team was going to tank without Miles and didn't plan on O winning games and winning over fans big time.

I've got to say that I originally wasn't an O fan (pro Herman from day 1 when he beat Jimbo's arse in the bowl game last year) but he grew on me and I was getting excited about going to the Sugar Bowl. I did't care if it made Alleva hiring an outsider tougher, it is tough to see LSU lose. Alleva is getting paid big bucks to make big decisions and deal with fans, boosters and the admin.

For a Sugar Bowl bid to be intentionally derailed so that Joe A. can make it through the hiring process smelling like a rose is disgusting.

Watching the Tigers lose a game on Saturday like that tears my heart out and makes me want to give up on football altogether.

We come to expect rigged fights in boxing and point shaving in basketball but football was always sacred to me.
