That he wasn't just a useless part of the BBQ that he's been accused of for the past 10 years? (or however long he's been on staff)

It's been coming out that Ensminger has been one of the ones that's been vocal about not so subtly pushed back on Miles and his game plans.

Congrats to Ensminger an almost perfectly called game.

The only nick pick I had was when the Gage/Ferguson package was on the field, Mizzou had absolutely zero over the top and man on man on the outside. Ferguson is 6'5 and at least one or two post pattern (intermediate because I don't think Etling has the arm) attempts would have worked. That's just me observing from what I saw in the stadium. I haven't been able to watch it on tv yet.

In the old setup, he was useless. He hated it. And hated Cam.

I think the reaction to the initial hire was "Yay! we hired Tommy Tubberville's caddy!". He called a hell of a game last night.

Based on how fast Cam was fired, I'd say the feeling was mutual across the board with the coaching staff. The only way Cam ever has a meaningful coaching job again is if a team happy with 6-6 hires Les and brings in buddy Cam.

I think there has been a lot more dissension among the coaching ranks than we will ever know. I have a feeling CEO, Ensminger and other we're going to Joe and telling him that those two had to go. There was mutiny among the staff in my opinion!

It was pretty apparent when last year's yelling match after Ole Miss got out.

Great job by the entire staff and players. Ensminger like the rest of the coaches and players needs to build on the success of last night. LSU ran the ball well and that always helps. We'll see how things geaux w Florida. One game at a time. Most offensive yards against an SEC opponent EVER. A++++ rating. Hats off to "E" and the entire LSU program!

I can't disprove your theory but there's literally zero evidence of that.

It was intimated on Post Game that Cameron and Miles game planned and excluded the others...they all bit their tongues and went along with it, not wanting to rock the boat....no wasted timeouts, did anyone notice? It almost appeared as though Emsminger found one of Jimbo's old game plans...ran 82 plays instead of in the 50's.

Etling has thrown about 8 post/fly patterns this year and not one of them has failed because he doesn't have the arm.

In fact, he has overthrown several of them.

Only short one was the one to Dupre in the Wisc game that Dupre could have made a catch on because the defender was on his back.

I think there is some truth to position coaches were unable to contain the frustration of a number of players. Morale was getting progressively worse.
As for Ensminger, every coach right now is auditioning for their future employer, so we will see the best of Ensminger...first impressions are favorable. I would like to see Desean Smith get a couple of touches; he's a very under utilized talent

I've never really bout into the whole BBQ thing, that's a LSU fans sky is falling mentality.

And in reality, after last night, I think Cam was more of the problem than anyone knew. I never brought it up cause I would be vilified but I saw Miles two or three times during broadcast last year say "you're gonna have to throw then" (reading lips, it's not that hard) after unsuccessful third one 1 or 2's.

I think Miles was loyal to Cam and that cost him his gig in the long run. Think about it. If Miles was "over-ruling" Cam's gameplans then why would the new guy fire him so fast????

JMO but I think Cam was really the main issue and it doesn't matter now

He definitely called a great game. I can't think of Less and Cam without getting pissed at their incompetence.

I was personally blown away by the different looks they were able to achieve in such a short time. No toss dive, 4 wides, quick slants. We actually worked the middle of the field in the passing game. The fact that so many recievers played is more of a statement of how ineffective our passing game has been. We should be consistently using 5 or 6 recievers.

Did O fire Cam or was Cam fired by Alleva along with Miles? Could O have kept Cam if he wanted?

Imagine being a position coach and having to convince your offensive players things will get better. "Just stay focused and eventually you will see the ball."
