But it has no bearing on what is happening now. Miles tarnished his legacy (as I've stated before and still believe) by hanging on too long, r

90 % of coaches get fired or are forced to resign. it's very rare for coaches to leave on their own accord.

Well, Keese isn't my real last name. I got that name from a John Belushi/ Dan Aykroyd movie from the early 80's called Neighbors. Bizarre yet funny movie.

The team was loaded with talent for a title run last year. Miles/Cameron were so damn incompetent they made Orgeron look respectable. However the loss to Florida was unacceptable. Zero points against Bama again was a joke. Orgeron may work out but he was definitley a bad hire at the time.
This and the teams he did beat were among the worse defensively in rush and scoring defense in the country.

It is an experiment hire at best for a top 10 position.
You don't do that...

Are we just going to pretend Louisville isn't a top 10 defense?

They weren't and by the end of the season, they really tanked as we all know because Jackson and that offense slowed down.

Wiskey and AU were better.

Bama was the best and well 100 yds of offense and ZERO points. UF had a good scoring defense and a worse rush defense than both Wisky and AU...

Uhh. Nothing in there says anything.
Go to here and get the final rankings. Some actually improved after LSU played them...
I got them straight from NCAA dumbass.

LINK

Missouri - 112: 90
Southern Miss - 46: 74
Ole Miss - 120; 100
UF - 38; 6
Bama - 1; 1
Arky - 94; 85
TAMU - 80; 40
UL - 12; 31

WRONG. rickydaddy said 10 wins SHOULD be the floor here at LSU. SHOULD.

Nobody said a monkey should win 10 games you dolt.

i said 8 games! 8 games! big difference. You need to go take some reading comprehension courses.

The Florida game was a huge, colossal disappointment. It should have never come to that last play and even with that, those two plays at the end were awful.

With that said, I wanted Tom Herman. I think Fisher is dog excrement so I was glad that didn't work out.

Big Ed is coach now. I hope it works out.

I didn't expect to go 8-0, but I did expect us to be competitive in every game. Wisconsin and Auburn were games that we gave away. It wasn't "bad breaks" going against us, it was absolutely shite play calling. Hell, our defense scored against Wisconsin. Here is what I posted in another thread and I stand by it.

quote:

The defense , with the exception of one frick up, was excellent against Florida. A perfect storm of miscues...all in Florida's favor, was the difference in a game that we actually dominated. The offensive game plan against the gumps was unimaginative. That alone probably cost Emsminger the OC job in spite of record performances at times last season. Sadly, if Orgeron were in charge last season from the start, we problem finish with just two losses. With Canada as OC, we are maybe undefeated. The asshats bitching on here about CEO's days at Ole Miss are some ignorant people. That was at a lesser program over a decade ago. Experience can be an invaluable thing concerning personal and professional growth. His experience at Ole Miss probably made him a better coach at USC. His experience at USC may have made him into a better coach at LSU. We have a tough schedule this season and lost a shite ton of talent from last season, yet I still see us having a better season this year. If we get to year three of CEO and we aren't competing for a title at that point, then he needs to go as well. Until then...Geaux Tigers and a big GFY to the haters.

LSU fired a coach who averaged ten wins a year and will be paying him into the 2020ies. Why do that if we aren't going to be expecting at least eleven wins a year?

And this board has had it expressed many times that winning ten games doesn't mean shite.

So, why shouldn't ten wins be a floor?
