I thought there was some animosity between him and the program?

It's a shame that he never got a crack at the pros because of the wreck, but that dude LOVES him some LSU.

It's a shame what happened to him. Not saying he would have done much more than Buster Davis in the NFL but at least he could have gotten paid.

Think he helped carry the R at one point too. I saw him down on the field pregame. Glad he made it back

It's cool for him that he's so involved at LSU now, but it's tough to forget how he acted and some of the bad things he was saying about LSU right after his accident.

Some of it was probably frustration about being out of the NFL.. but he still said it.

ETA: We cool, though.

Where'd you hear that?

Eta: he's been all about LSU lately.

I think Byrd has been at just about every game since he could walk again after the wreck.

He turned back into a "the U" guy after his wreck and said some bad stuff online about Miles and LSU.

He was such a toolbag his senior year. He was a cancer to the team. But he and I have some mutual friends and I see him here and there, he's a cool guy nowadays.

I think everyone has forgiven him for his harsh words towards the university except the people in section 27, they hold grudges for life
