I feel worse for LSU players on kick off coverage. It had to feel embarrassing seeing the kicker pooch the ball on the 35 because coach feels you are too weak to cover a kick.

I felt bad for him until he threw his helmet, shoved a coach, and put a towel over his head to pout....

Best thing about that was the way Fournette went to get him at the bench and pumped him back up. That was real leadership there.

I would have put him back in on the last drive. Got to get back on that horse.

Agreed. Miles' policy of benching fumblers does nothing to boost their confidence.

Yet, there is a football hall of fame full of players that have fumbled and thrown interceptions. We better inform the NFL and Canton that they made a mistake.

Here's some food for thought:

How many fumbles would be acceptable to you?

Because in all of the games you played in, you never fumbled. Amirite?

I'm around the game every day, and I know there's a stable full of horses ready to carry the ball without laying it on the ground. There's zero tolerance for that. I've said before, and will say it again:

the main goal of a runner is not to gain yards, it is to protect the football. It doesn't particularly matter how many yards you gain if you fumble.

How many fumbles would consider acceptable?

You can fumble once and lose a championship game and that fumble will be infamous.

Demarco Murray led all NFL running backs (2nd overall to Cam) with 6 fumbles lost in 2014.

Demarco Murray led all NFL players with 2043 rushing yards and tied for the league lead with 15 rushing touchdowns.

I can excuse the fumbles.

He did throw his helmet. It looked more like he pushed the coach's hand off than pushing the coach.

Sounds good to me if you're okay with finishing 2nd in the NFC East division.

Would also be okay if you have the 3rd best defense in the league.

However: newsflash - I'd prefer a little higher expectation than 2nd best in the West for LSU and our defense ranks 14th overall.
