I don't think SEC knew about it until they pulled out rule book and blew the dust off.

I bet we get screwed if we win out. Either way, we dont go to the SECCG without playing florida, I just dont see it uner any scenerio

I think even if all the scenerios play out and LSU is the only team with 1 SEC loss, they still screw us over. Im just saying, I have a sneaking suspicion they are gonna screw us for not cooperating in reschedule

That idiot Sanky got played when he didn't know the rules. I can guarantee you Foley did and pushed that shite. Screw all of them.

Nope it wasn't, not even Tennesse coaches knew about it because they were saying they had to play the game. If the game wasn't played then Tennesse had the most to benefit from the game not being played. They would have preferred the game not played, rather than being played!!!

No one knew the rule, Foley said he wasn't even aware of it.

i was. kinda.

apparently the commissioner has the authority to "interpret" SEC bylaws.

he interpreted "after all games are played" to mean LSU and Florida had to play their game.
if they didn't play they didn't meet the criteria.

Yes.

I read about it here the first of the week. Someone linked it. I'm not searching for it though.

After reading about it on here, I mentioned it on the SECRANT around the middle of the week. And was told I was FoS.

But I read about it here first.

I see you have 2 downvotes for documenting that the OP and several other posters were wrong.

I have several other posts I will link to overnight showing the 8 game rule was discussed early on.

No sense in linking them. No one is going to give you any credit or admit they were wrong.

Would just be a waste of time.

Just know you were right and don't worry about it is my philosophy for a message board.

I have noticed that I have a knack for ending threads when I post documentation to prove most posters were wrong.

Yep. And even though I said otherwise about linking posts, here's where I mentioned it late Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning AFTER I had read a post, here on the Tiger Rant, where it was linked.

So it had to have been posted here before that time.

I'm old and there's not shite on TV so I've got time to waste on a Friday night. FML.
