Harris is a more experienced player and has a better concept of what has to happen each play. You have to know what is going on every snap, not just some of the time. But again, this team is built to run the ball and that is what they will do and I think they will run it this year more than last year, numbers wise. Two things come into play.

I wouldn't mind seeing Buga getting 2000 and Guice getting 1000

If we run it more it's because we running it well and winning. I have no problem w only throwing it 15/20 times a game

He is probably right. However if Harris can be efficient with the short throws that's all we need.

Yep. I don't care if they run more, but the offense needs to execute better when they do pass. Also need to be far less predictable

He's right--Harris has to be able to hit the short/medium passes for this team to get to the next level

Good.

LF is the best player in CFB. Use him.

As they should. Talented O-line with the best player in CFB running and a very talented and capable back up. Harris should only be throwing the ball around 15-20 times a game. He needs to be efficient in those times that he does throw. Somewhere around 55-60 percent completion with around 50 percent on 3rd down. That will let LSU keep running the ball on every team they play.

Hey if it ain't broke, don't fix it. The key is to have the option and ABILITY to throw the ball should the ground game not work.

LF won't need 1900+ to win the Heisman this year.

They don't need to throw more to win, they just need to throw more early so when they need to throw in November, they can.

I agree whole heatedly....they should run the ball more.

If we run it more we're doomed. You cannot be that predictable in this kind of offense. We wont score more than 14-17 points on Bama doing this over and over and over. Teams like Arkansas have this bad gameplan figured out by us.

Need to throw it about 40% of the time, that's close to the sweet spot. You cant get to that kind of number never throwing the football until you "need" to, and by that point we're so out of sync nothing good happens when we do throw it.

If we're winning the first few games by 2-3-4 TDs, I wont consider that very successful if we're throwing the football about 15-20 times a game...because we all know what's going to happen again when we play the better teams.

No problem running it more, problem is can't go 6-19 passing. Efficiency, Efficiency, Efficiency

And running it up the middle will work against most opponents.

But as we have seen the last few years against Bama, Ole Miss, sometimes Ark and sometimes Fla, you have to have a balanced offense.

You don't develop a balanced offense by running it up the middle the whole game against inferior opponents.

Too few.

If you pass it more (need to be successful), you don't lose any carries because you'll end up extending drives and having more offensive plays. More plays, means a tired defense and the ability to own the 4th quarter via the running game.

We need to throw it around 25 times per game.

He also said that LSU would absolutely use a two QB system last year.

I have no issue with a 65:35 ratio as long as that 35% of throws are effective and moving the chains. We are going to really be hammering on some folks this year and a lot of our 4th quarters will consist mainly of handoffs. That's assuming this team comes out of the gate strong like we are all expecting.
