My question is what do you think the best defense will be to avoid letting hurts take off on broken plays and hell, just to prevent him from taking off period? Do we play him like we played manzel in the past and just trust our db's to lock down the receivers all night?

Play man to man, and send the house from various angles and sides.

If we play 10 yds off the WR and play containment it'll be a long day for the tigers.

I think that would be a very, very good strategy! If you remember the 1st possession of 2nd half for Ala. AFTER AtM scored was Hurts on QB "sneak" after receivers went downfield on 3rd down. Texas A&M had it played perfectly but they missed the tackle somehow? We contain that aspect of their 3rd down conversion arsenal and we should be in the game for 4 qtrs. w opportunity for victory - as the best coach in LSU history (percentage wise) used to say......

This.

Hurts cannot pass.

I bet we have at least two interceptions.
