Defense will be good/great Offense=average... enough to win?

The west and SEC? I think we will play with a chip on our shoulder, however, I do not beleive we have an intelligent and gifted qb; but neither does BAMA. Is it enough to win the West? And Auburn will be difficult, but DEFENSE wins Championships. I am convinced we will have a Damm strong defense.

In that scenario we be 12-0 or 11-1 hopefully in Sugarbowl. I'm hoping for NC next year

i think we can have a top 10 defense this year. if we can find a running game, we win the west imo.

The ability to run the football is key. If we can run, we can pass. If we can't run, get ready for the second round of '09. I don't see us having an average offense with all of the playmakers we have. IMO the offense will either click, or it won't click at all. Last year it didn't click, but when it does, i think it'll be fun to watch.

again...we were 112th last year on Offense and went 9-4.....
you think maybe if we were say...60th or 40th..we may be good?

If that number can get down to around 25 or lower I think LSU can not only win the SEC West but make a run at winning the SEC outright. My God we have the talent on this offense, if it clicks, I think we're going to beat the ever living shite out of some other teams. Tough schedule but I like our team.

It doesn't even need to be that low if the defense progresses like it should from last year. Top 50 would be good enough to win the west.

We don't need CLOSE to a top 25 offense to win the SEC outright. More like top 60. You're not taking into account how inflated the points are in several other conferences.
