Here's what I think will happen.....

LSU will defeat A&M, although it will be a disappointing close game. One with turnovers all over the place and minimal offense. But at the end of the game, The AD will still see that we ended the season 8-3(damn McNeese rain-out).

Only due to a rainout, we are going to a decent bowl game that could've ended us with another 10-win season. Although the masses are still fed up with Les Offense, he is retained for 1 more year in the agreement of retiring after 2016. And from the 2016 schedule I see, we go 7-5 in a worst case scenario.

No buy-out applied.....mutual agreement.....LSU doesn't have to compete like this year against the long, growing list of coaching moves. Everybody wins.

Not if 7-5 is possible next season.

Do you really think that this is even possible? Why do people still think that it is even possible that Les is back next year?

Recruiting class suffers, talent development suffers, shot at top tier coach suffers, my heart suffers from wasted talent, I think your idea is bullshite. If he is gone let him be gone. If they want to keep him the extend him. I don't like the wait around game (see USCe and Spurrier). Make up your mind and ride with it like Sunday or Monday morning.

You honestly think Les would agree to be forced to retire next year and forfeit 12-15 million dollars?

I see your points, but could we possibly see a assistant change-up as part of any agreement?

What decent coordinator would you bring in on a one year rental? A big time coach will want his own staff. I get what you want to happen and I want les to go out successful and clean too. But it's too late for that. The bridge is burned either back him and sign him or fire him ASAP and protect your investment and salvage this year's class

Decision has been made already. Only awaiting the official announcement after the game.

Here is what I think. Les won't get fired until maybe next year. If we could land our future head coach, miles will be canned. AKA Chip Kelly or Mullen

If the decision hasn't been made, they don't need to make one. It's already fricked up.

if he were asked to leave, i sure hope Alleva has the next coach already signed to a contract.

i'd rather see Les stick around for another year then just letting him go without a better plan in place.

frustrating as his style of coaching can be, he's given us some good times as a coach.

But serious question: How do you EVER get a better plan in place other than maybe a head coach in waiting type thing that FSU and Jimbo did??

We lose and we lose badly. This is the perfect time to snag a top coach. All of them will be getting big arse raises this year or moving on to other places. The coaching landscape next year could be a got damn wasteland and Miles will not change. We will go 8-5 or 9-4 and complete the change of becoming mediocre. With all the best coaches gone the year prior and kids not putting up with the shite anymore, we have a half assed recruiting class and Miles is either fired or we repeat this same damn process all over again.

how many coordinators and assistants have there been here? Common denominator is les and I'm tired of his philosophy especially on offense

contingencies and stipulations. - just like buying a house or any other type of contract really.

i'm not saying a change shouldn't be made. but lets not change change for the sake of the change.

IF LSU has not done its homework and is ready to part ways with Miles as soon as the TAMU game is over, then it has idiotic leadership.

Yep, lets wait until the LSU football program truly resembles the longhorns program.

This has been allowed to fester long enough. We have been in steady decline for several years. We have a number of star quality players, but we have recruited so unevenly that we have gaping holes at a number of positions.

Under your no change plan, we let Miles recruit additional players that do not fit his system (as he has been for years with "dual" threat QBs that he makes into I formation drop-boack passers, and receiving TEs and WRs that are expected to be blockers for the run game). It is certainly also possible the players he recruits will not fit the schemes of the next coach.

Under the stand pat plan, LSU loses...Only Miles Wins.
