DC Timeframe

What's a reasonable timeframe to have a replacement hired (keep in mind, LSU is always slow to announce...I'm just talking about the decision).
Am I crazy to think that it's going to take 1-2 weeks at best?

I would hope its before NSD, but I fear that won't be the case unless we hit on our first targets.

If Pendergrast is sitting around unemployed and he and Miles know each other, that's a hire that seems like it could happen fairly quickly.

Well, that's the basis of my question. But, ASAP doesn't answer the question.
My question wasn't whether or not it was important to do it asap. It was trying to figure out what a reasonable expectation was.

It would be nice if they had a response before the Under Armour and Army All-American games. Won't be too much flipping from other schools after that.

we should hire right away. If we are going to hire bebe then we need to do it today. I know les likes to use open spots for more visits but with bebe id rather hire him now

Well, if Haley is not returning then you would still have two open spots. Just hire Bebe and save this class.
I'd love for them to lure the TCU DC here, but they were just outside of the playoffs. He's not likely to leave for less than, wait for it........
$1.7 million. I'm telling you LSU will still end up paying more for the position for a quality DC and will still have to guarantee at least 3 years.
