David St. Romain's score prediction

Just saw this guy on WBRZ News and he predicted LSU to win 12-10 in overtime. I don't know if he thought that score through but has their ever been a safety in overtime in college football?
Then he started singing his "Go Tigers, beat Bama" song.

If the game was tied at 4 prior to the OT, it could happen.

It's possible but it would just take a really big screw up for it to happen.

Somebody posted that prediction here yesterday

It's possible. Game tied at 4 going into OT. LSU scores a TD and misses the PAT. Alabama scores on their possession and fumbles the ball on the PAT, LSU picks up and runs it back for 2 pts.

Yeah but can a fumble be returned for a safety in OT or is it just a turnover?
Posted on 11/2/12 at 12:31 pm to RealityTiger
the rules are different in OT
no returns of anything, just a turnover
so the 4-4 thing I get but no way Miles goes for 2 leading 10-4

More likely (none of this is) is the game goes to 3 OT when the teams are required to go for two. LSU converts, Bama doesn't. Although, he probably would have specified 3OT, so the prediction is dumb.

In the third overtime he'd have to go for 2. We make it to go up 12-4, Bama gets a TD but misses the 2 point conversion. 12-10 final.

I think he's talking about a fumble that occurred while the other team was going for the PAT.

not on an point-after or two point conversion.

If he meant that, he would have stated that. When an extra point attempt is returned, it is not called a safety.
