Two of the most amazing passes in Tiger history and all of college football. Which one holds a bigger place in your heart and why?

Dash Right 93 Berlin

Severn Henderson wins it for me. I was a kid at the time boiling and crying because I just knew the game was over so I turned the TV off. My dad said the game isn't over until it's over. Turn the damn TV back on. Boom soon as I did history was made and my dad gave himself a beer bath lol.

Byrd Bomb

I love this one as well its like time froze when the ball was in the air and I'm yelling Miles you freaking idiot..... I love you!!!

Season is almost here and heart attacks are often associated with LSU Tiger football!!

The team was lined up in the clock the ball formation giving the defense the impression they were going to spike it genius, therefore it was a fake spike.

"And Flynn is back to throw !!!!" Even the commentators were expecting the spike.

The were lined up to run a running play to center the ball for a better FG try. They had a timeout, you're not going to clock it at that point.

They were lined up at the 24 yard line with 9 seconds and the two wideouts ran fly routes. If you're going to position yourself for a better field goal it would've been slants, outs or some type of running play to center the ball or get an extra few yards then use the timeout. It was a designed look to catch Auburn off guard which explains why there was no safety help on the fake spike.

What are you talking about ? The running backs showed no intention of running. They stepped up to block like you would do on a spike. Do you know how long a running play would have took from a split back set? They would've just ran a lead to the left from the I to center it.

Let me clarify, in reality Auburn thought LSU was going to call timeout and not run a play period, that is what caught them off guard. But the logical play, if you're a defender, would be a run to center the ball. This could have been either a quick run to the left by Flynn, or a toss to Hester who was flanked left.

So it's logical to run a toss when you're at the 24 to center the ball and risk losing about 3 yard to make a big difference in a field goal attempt? Once again if that was their intention they would have easily loaded the line and Flynn would've ran to the left and fell to the ground. It was designed for a fake spike look bomb over the top. I rest my case .

The O-Line Kick stepped which means it's a pass. There were no intentions of running.

So it's logical

Once again you're not understanding the point. Auburn was thinking LSU was going to call timeout, they weren't expecting a play. Once LSU approached the ball, a defender's first thought is they're going to do a quick run then call timeout. LSU was not in a power run formation, nor were they in "clock it" formation. The defense was on their heels because they didn't know what was about to happen. Tuberville lost the game by not calling timeout.

We had a timeout. We huddled before the play. It wasn't a fake spike.

If the DB even slightly turns around it's an easy pick, we lose, and everyone is reminded how quality miles clock management is.

Can I go ahead and request a name change for you to wet blanket? My God. We won the NC that year and THIS is your response to one of the plays that got us there. You, sir, have earned a downvote.

I'd have to go with the pass to Byrd, if for no other reason than he caught it about 30 feet in front of me.

Yeah not a fake spike for sure but not what anybody was expecting either. I'm what most people would call a miles lover and I defend him a lot ,but man I miss the old miles. Nobody had any clue what we would do on any play or at any moment.

No it sure wasn't. And this is the second time in the last couple of weeks I've seen this idiotic assertion on the Rant.

You're right. That was uncalled for. I'm just not a miles fan. I've known since 05 that he's clueless. The 07 season was pretty fun though.
