Andrew Del Piero had 100% better of an offensive game than Darcy

Darcy Malone

He literally outplayed Martin, TQ and Gray today. But that isn't saying much.
That was my original quote. If you think Gray played well today, then good for you.

Only players that are SEC quality are:
Gray
Hornsby
TQ
Martin
Mickey
Patterson

With Patterson out (for how long), others have to play. Our bigs off the bench are weak.

He's better than he was earlier which isn't saying a whole bunch. I think he gets processed potentially.

It doesn't matter what happens in the games. Jones doesn't consider game play, only practice.

Malone isn't going to be much of an offensive threat, but he plays hard on D and doesn't let guys just trample on him and score. He battles in there and holds his own. It could be worse.

Depends on what your expectations were.

I'm looking for a 12-15 minute big man to play solid D, run the court, throw some picks, rebound (more than he has) and throw in a few points here and there.

I think that's where he's headed.

If he gets there this year, with Martin and Mickey, that's a huge development.

If he gets there next year, with Simmons and Blakeney, that's a huge development.

ETA: Give me a lineup that can go Malone, Martin, Mickey, Hornsby and Quarterman and that's a big team on the court.

I agree. Malone is showing improvement and seems to move better than our other options.

Malone has a decent offensive game. A nice shot, hook, and is a very good passer for a big man. Our offense just slows down because the rest of the team is playing keep away. Won't even throw it to him inside.

Agree, but until he proves he's got great hands for the ball, it's not going in to him much.

but nobody runs back on defense better than Malone.

He was the 2nd best player we had today. Don't be racist...just because he is white!
