Zardon is an excellent hitter (with power) that the Tigers must have in the lineup. Frankly, I would not have moved him off of 3rd base. The kid has grit and would have come through in the clutch ...

Easily the longest HR in The Box since the bats were changed. Katz hit one in the practice field past the scoreboard 2 years ago that was the hardest ball hit with the new bats up until Zardon's bomb last night. I would love to have seen how many HRs Mahtook and Katz would've had with the new balls.

First thing I thought was Mahtook's first homerun he hit. Easily one of the longest HR's I've ever seen live. It cleared the scoreboard. It was a midweek game but I'm not sure who we were playing.

I don't believe Mahtook played with these bats.

Chinea, scivique, and zardon would all hit 15-20 hr with old bats. I watched the game this weekend and chinea smashes everything he hits

I was thinking his last year or two were with the new bats. I could be wrong though. I really don't remember.

Uh.. I think the jacoby Jones hr against Florida that hit the scoreboard 30 ft in the air would have been further had it not been blocked.

That was his 2nd HR. The first was in the same game that landed right over the wall in left center.

the reason i know this is I have the ball that cleared the scoreboard for his 2nd HR.

If deichman takes over second then we will have a serious power lineup
