I rarely say things like this, but good luck trying to out physical Landry. I don't give a shite who you are, including some NFL corners, Landry can play through contact.

Florida to be physical with the LSU receivers

Good luck to them on this one! Beckham and Landry are two very strong receivers who will prob blow these corners off the line!

Here's the deal with Gary, anybody that watches football over the years and has an IQ above 100 can say similar things that Gary says.

It's like saying if the DBs for LSU don't get their hands up or turn when the ball is being thrown their way then they are going to get beat by UF receivers. The shite is common sense if you watches or played football for a good amount of your life.

Both announcers suck. If I had the same access to players, coaches and practices I could do and say the same things and look better in TV to draw in the ladies. Of course we get stuck with some second rate never was and the NFL gets Phil Sims.

I say BS, Danielson is very informative, almost always dead on in his analysis & opinions and knows 100 times more than is fans. Including you.

Not bad tigers, only one fricking moron claiming to know more than Gary about football. Better than I thought.

Danielson does know what he's talking about he's just very annoying with his delivery and constantly dwells on plays he thinks should've gone the other way, he'll just keep showing the replay and talking about "what if"

George: What about like an announcer? Like a color man? You know how I always make those interesting comments during the game?
Jerry: Yeah. Yeah. You make good comments.
George: So? What about that?
Jerry: Well, they tend to give those jobs to ex-ballplayers and, ya know, people in broadcasting.
George: That's really not fair.

Landry and Beckham are experienced in using their hands. If the refs let Florida get handsy after 5 yards then I expect them to allow some push offs when the ball is in the air.

He doesn't mean this:

quote:

In other words if the refs let fla get away with holding our receivers the game favors fla. We're screwed. Fla holds like Bama.

Or this:

quote:

Refs shouldn't be a factor. We should handle the gators without b.s. calls ruining the game.

He means how the refs approach calling the game; whether it be loose with the man to man and letting the db's get away with contact and affecting the recievers route running or whether they call it tight and don't allow as much of that. It's just a difference how aggressive they allow the db's to be.

He gets shite because the unenlightened folks on this board will label you an idiot if you criticize anything about the team, even if it's glaringly true. They are like children. It's the adult version of calling someone a poo-poo head.

This EXACTLY and I thought the SAME EXACT THING.

I'll take Landry in any "physical" contest out there.

The only real critique I would give Gary is the "hero-worship" he gets caught up in from time to time.

I like Danielson and Vern and have never understood why LSU fans dislike Danielson. He gives props to LSU when they deserve them and constructive criticism when LSU blows it. He's informative!
