Reader comment on dandy this morning from a tar heel fan

quote:

Reader comments: I'm a big Tar Heel fan, live in Chapel Hill and I expect the Heels to surprise a lot of Tiger fans on the 4th. I don't want you to be discouraged when the Heels hang a big loss on the Tigers : ) Serious question for you: I don't understand how Tiger fans think their 10-12 freshmen on defense/offense are going to cope with our grown men pushing them around (6 of which will be 1st-2nd rounders next year). Here are the position battles I'm talking about: LB, DL, DE, WR

After the game all I can say is welcome to the SEC

UNC's WR's will push our CB's around? Or UNC's CB's will push or WR's around?

WR? That is one of our strengths this year and if he is talkin about his recievers, PP will take their reciever right out of the game.

It was last year as well. How'd that work out for the season? Still no QB = long season.

I really sincerely hope I am wrong.

Do you judge your highschool team players by how good they were in 8th grade?

Then why do we here at LSU have a bad tendancy to judge our players by their recruiting rankings and not how great of a player they've developed into in college.

For Example: I think TT is a great reciever. I enjoy watching him. I don't think there was any real worry about him taking off to the NFL last year though.

Perhaps we should put things in perspective.

I don't think their offensive line will push our defense around. If we can run the ball a little our recievers should make the difference.

I think he's trying to say that their WRs will be pushing our CBs around. I don't think ANY wr is college football is pushing around PP at 6'1" 222.

But hey, if they want to try, bring it.

I dont know if he means their WR's vs our DB's or vice versa but either way we have the advantage. As for the rest of his comments there is a reason they play the game.

The kid is a stud. Was a stud last year. But due to our inability to get him the ball, you couldn't really see it.

I see what you're saying, but WR and CB is not a position the should be picking on. Maybe he should have used O line. A dumbass statement from a UNC fan like this tells me he has no idea what he's talkign abotu.

Was it last year that Clemson was suppose to run all over Alabama with their vaunted running attack?

this...the best way for us to start the game and season would be for us to sustain a long drive finished with six+1. their defense will be looking to make an early statement and the best way to stifle that is to show the ability to control the ball and move the chains. bleed their adreniline one fist down at a time and put them on their 'heels'...mentally and physically.
