I like the guy, a lot actually, but him wearing his 2007 NC ring as some sort of motivator is very frustrating.

What escapes me is what we did during our off week. Just looked so unprepared.

We definitely didn't look for or find any weaknesses in their defense. They are good, but they are not the 85 Bears or the 00 Ravens. Les just thinks he has superior athletes than other teams, but that's not the case when playing Alabama.

Pro Miles Internet Bully folks -- you know who you are!

I'm Pro-LSU...and since Miles has been the coach that has given LSU it's longest sustained run of success in the program's history, I remain Pro Miles. Crazy, huh?

As I've said many times, it's not pumping sunshine to point at something that's good and say it's good. That's literally how everything in the world works outside of this place.

The problem as I've seen it from before Miles stepped foot on the sidelines in Tempe to coach his first game as head ball coach at LSU, is that SOME in our fan base have never once given the guy half a chance. He has always been "Not Saban," and for some that's been enough to lambaste the guy even when he's winning.

It's Miles own shitty luck that he took a job only to find arguably the greatest college football coach of all time (who was his predecessor at his current job) return to college football to coach at his rival...meaning that not only would he have to beat the best year in and year out, but he'd be facing the coach that many in his own fan base still had man crushes on.

This has what's made it nearly impossible to now have an honest discussion about his tenure, lack of recent success against BAMA, etc...because for some in the fan base they were ragging on the guy LOOOOOOONG before there was ever a reason to do so. Why would I, as a reasonable person who has seen and respected what the man has done since 2005 in Baton Rouge be all excited now to even step foot in the shallow end of discussing shortfalls with guys that have hated him from the minute of his first press conference?

Miles is hardly perfect, and there are and have been things to criticize. but thanks to assholes in our fan base, it's nearly impossible to do so at this point because for some the guy's been on the fricking hot seat since he lost to TENN in overtime a week after fricking Rita. You simply can't reason with those guys...because they're under the impression that having thrown shite at the walls for 10 seasons now and occasionally finding some that stuck means they're god damned geniuses, instead of the equivalent of a broken clock being right twice a day.

And because of this stubborn, archaic and out of touch thinking, his ceiling is 2 to 3 losses per season. And at least based on this you, me and everyone else can ignore any "leaks" that come out when LSU is preparing for a big game that they have implemented some wrinkles for that game. We know is all BS and we know going into every game what the plan is and always will be under Miles. So does Saban, so will Ole Miss this year and Arkansas this week. It's really the reason that LSU needs to make a change and move forward if we want to get beyond 10-2, 9-3. This is all proven out by Miles' SEC record since 2011. It has gotten worse pretty much each year since. But was does LSU you do? Give him an extension.

There are two sides to every coin. Our style of play is also the reason we don't lose a lot of games that we shouldn't.

Well, Miles has shown in the past he will change things. The reality is that Bama is built to beat LSU. Every year since 2011 we have played right into their strength. The game of football has evolved, Miles needs to as well. We can still have a power running game, just be more creative in the passing game.

It is comical. But, so are the negas like yourself that saw LSU ranked 2nd in the country when they were picked 5-6 th in the west preseason. Kinda slowed the roll to their agenda all season. But now u can have your cela freakin bration. You were right the whole time. The sky is truly falling this time, right.

Nah...

I honestly find this tiresome, but I'm like a moth to a flame with it.

I'd love to discuss real, current or past issues with the coaching staff and program...but I can't make myself engage with idiots that have been up Miles' arse long before there was ever a reason to do so. To do so would be empowering that kind of fan, and I can't stand jackasses like that...

He's had plenty of "chances" in the form of contract extensions and tenure.

Right, and conversely, its not wrong or shiting on the program to point out things that stink.

You don't want an honest conversation because it might involve some negativity where CLM is concerned. It's called super-sensitivity.

It's Miles own shitty luck that he took a job

Operative words....he took....no one twisted his arm to come here. You make it sound like he had a gun to his head. He knew the microscope he was fixing to crawl under.

Now, are you through with your own personal pity party?

.I absolutely believe that it is necessary in order for LSU to win it all. I BELIEVED that we had done that over the last several weeks, and that we now had the offense, with a mobile QB, a WR advantage, and great RB...to beat bama.

Yeah, judging by this comment I guess you did believe that.

quote:

One is that this is the most dynamic offense that saban will have to defend against, and it's not even close....and quite frankly, Alabama's offense has been far less than stellar this year.

quote:

You are absolutely incorrect saying that I didn't think we needed to develop a passing game

I seem to recall you blasting other posters for wanting Les to keep the balance.

quote:

I get so amused when I see this. He was trying to win the damn game. He had a lead and a great OL and all-time great RB. I don't see the problem in that he thought he could take this safer approach and be successful.

I understand you guys like the Baylor approach though

Define realistic. ...roflmao....goto youtube...rewatch the game...there is no realistic chance...that was being dominated in big boy football. ..

As a Les Miles fan, I still get upset with his stubbornness, and inability to adapt and attack a team's weaknesses as opposed to simply doing what we do best regardless of the other teams' strengths and weaknesses. However, most of you may have seen this, but this is the first time I have seen it. When asked about losing five in a row and if he has thought about adapting the offense to become more effective against Alabama......Les replied that we have not been in a position to win only twice in the five games....so why change our scheme because we weren't effective only twice.........or something to that effect. It is frustrating that we have yet to adapt, and it appeared we had no contingency plan in case the run failed.....but it's even more frustrating that Les still doesn't believe that his strategy is flawed.....it's unbelievable....and I'm a Miles fan.

Wait a minute, aren't you the same guy that criticized me for making the statement that I laugh at people who think changing the OC would make a difference?

Nooooo that couldn't have been you right?
