Dandy Don - How sick is he?

I depend on the Dandy for my first read every morning. Hope he is allright.

Yeah from my understanding he's not doing too well which is a shame. Man has had a sad last year or so with the loss of his wife and now his own health struggles. I hope he can find ease soon and maybe the Tigers can provide a bit of that this year.

I knew he had a tough go over the last year...no idea he was still undergoing treatments, though...I have noticed that his daily writings have been pretty short for the last month or so...I suppose that explains it...I wish him the best....

His son is helping him. He has had prostate cancer from what I recall. He helped nurse his wife of many years through the worst stages of Parkinson Disease. Joy was a missionary type worker at hospitals, correct me if I am wrong...someone. It got to the stage that she could not talk, but would still smile at him. Surviving cancer is tough, but he will never get over losing his Joy.

Dandy is a great tiger fan. One of the finest. I appreciate all of his post . Prostate CA has come a long way, hopefully he will be fine. My prayers are with him.

Thank you for starting the thread and the information contained in it. To be honest, I haven't read his website in quite awhile. My mother works at MD Anderson and I can see if there's anything that make his stay in town more comfortable.
