When has Les ever been anything but an honorable man regardless of how you feel about him as a coach?

Never, but the negatards want him fired every time his ear itches on the sidelines and he scratches it.

Someone can offer a person a job but you don't have to seriously consider taking it. That's what I take from what miles said.

Yeh my point is I am surprised it got to the offer with money and years. To me that is serious talks. Anyway it doesn't matter. I would do the same

It is a hypocritical statement from DP, but I guess it makes for good sports talk radio when you don't have much else to talk about.

Exactly, its a statement no one else has made and its got everyone talking about Dan Patrick this morning. He got what he wanted out of the statement.

typical hypocritical sports media bullshite with no purpose other than to create controversy for those who live for it. if someone propositions your wife, do you get mad at her for turning him down or do you respect her for being true and getting that bracelet she always wanted?

Whatever Miles wants to do is up to him (go or stay), but IMO he has shown a great lack of professionalism announcing / addressing and even allowing this to get out while LSU is still in BOWL PLAY.

Now, I have confirmation that this is, as always, ALL ABOUT MILES.....arrogance has no limits.

If his FRIEND is such a good friend, this should never have gotten out.

I think he said that he has 4 kids in college and needs more money, if I heard right.. really ??
a $4MM man.

It's easier for miles to say that talks weren't that serious if there is an agent doing all the work behind the scenes. If you look at almost any coach hiring process when a team wants to hire another team's coach, that coach always "never knows what's going on". While the agent is in the background playing lets make a deal.

To the poster who said CLM had ties with the AD...So what. He should have been honest that he had absolutley no intentions of leaving. I also have a problem with Les saying the discussions weren't serious(along those lines) but they had an offer on the table. That makes no sense to me.

And you know there was an offer because of some internet rumor? Do you really think there was anything truly serious from Miles' point of view? Do you have any idea of what was actually said between the parties? Couldn't have ever gotten too serious since Miles got less money than the purported offer and only a "routine" extension of his contract with LSU of 2 additional years.

All this handwringing over nothing is really is astonishing.

He was trying too be funny. I don't think the average joe making 75k a year thought it was funny.

some of you idiots are acting like Miles went out searching for a job offer.

Call it however you want it but the fact is Les' agent trolled Arkansas and LSU and Les was fine with it.

People complain about negatigers bashing Miles and I get that. I'm not a huge Miles fan...he annoys me greatly...but at the same time I was not hoping he would leave. But equally ridiculous were the numerous posts from supposedly LSU fans bragging about how Les trolled LSU.

I've always thought Les' rep as a great wholesome honest guy was a bit of crap.

Re the comment that it got to specific money & number of yrs, that info came from a blogger, not an official at either university or CLM. CLM may duck & bob & weave when it comes to information re injured players, but I have no reason to consider him a liar when it comes to ethical matters. He's ours for the next 7 yrs, so get used to winning double didget wins & competing for the league and national championships every yr.

Auburn source says they interviewed Strong. Louisville denies they met

Anytime agents and AD's are involved they have some shady shite going down.

I have been VP / Pres over a couple of companies, these talks are behind close doors, he may not have control over the media, but he does have control with the people he interviews with in demanding secrecy.

..of course.....unless he is playing his game to get more money from LSU as he did w/ Michigan' supposed talks... which would be even more despicable IMO looking at 1-9-12 and this season.
