Somebody is going to get an absolute steal with Pocic. Saints I'm looking at you in the 2nd. They'll probably pass for some shitty DB in the PAC 12 though.

Wouldnt be a terrible idea to get him in the 2nd round. All depends on what we do in free agency.

If only....this guy will end up a starter for a decade or longer barring unforeseen setbacks....can play any position on the line in the NFL including left tackle, though I think he will end up at center given his level of football IQ...some QB somewhere is gonna have a much easier life with Ethan making the calls on his line. Saints are in need of defensive help so much more that id be surprised to see them pick an offensive player before the third or fourth round...unless a prospect they are absolutely in love with falls to them and is basically a "cannot pass" type of guy, then sadly guys like pocic are outside of the realm of possibility for us this year.

Saints may take him in the second because I'm looking for them to take Ohio St CB Marshon Lattimore in the 1st. Ohio St players have been a sure thing for them as of late.

Dude can play any position and that is valuable, but he is more of a liability at center because of his height. That's why Alabama gave him fits because their shorter DLinemen easily got up under him and drove his big arse backwards, he's just too tall to be playing center. I wouldn't use him there unless it was an emergency situation. If Saints take him he should play at left guard so Andrus Peat can play the position they drafted him for at left tackle and let Strief move on. Strief has been okay, but is a liability.

Umm... The Saints have a left tackle who is 100x better than Peat.

Here we go again. Saints passed on Whitworth in the 2nd and selected Gump DB Roman Harper.

Whitworth still playing and is a Pro-Bowler.

Fast Forward.

Pocic will be available in the 2nd. Saints up. They need OL's, but will by pass the LSU boy and select a DB.

Watch.

The Saints already have a great center, but I can see Pocic being a really good NFL guard.

If he is on the board in the 2nd round, I wouldn't mind the pick at all.

But according to Saints Talk, Payton hates LSU players and will never draft one again.

All the examples of Saints bad draft decisions and you choose this one? Getting a pro bowl safety? Seriously?

you must be on drugs?? Strief had a decent season last year, finally, but is far from a quality left tackle, he has been beaten more times in his career than a drum.

Strief isn't who I had in mind. I was talking about the guy widely considered by experts to be at worst, a top-3 left tackle in the NFL (many think he's the best).

Hint: He was drafted in the third round and ran a 4.73 40 at the combine that year as an OL.

your simple simon arse must have run out of people to fight with, and a lot of that is true, but don't worry he'll learn how to become a proper OLineman now that he is about play in the NFL.

Strife plays right tackle, dummy.

Considering you don't even know who the Saints' left tackle is, I'd say you're in no position to be name-calling or pretending to be an NFL scout.

I may have said left tackle, but I meant right tackle, so my bad. Peat needs to be there, that's the position they drafted him for and Pocic can play right guard. I got my left crossed with my right as usual.
