On TV a few times they panned over on the two laughing and talking.

I didn't watch the second half after that first half abortion.

Wonder what they were saying? How about, "and they fired us and now have this?"

I have no idea what they were saying, but I have a good idea why they were laughing.

They had to tell jokes to keep from crying. They are both huge LSU fans.

Dale Brown just told me that JJ is apparently oblivious of everything basketball but is damn good at standing akimbo with an incredulous look upon his countenance. He then harrumphed!

John Bradynwas napping when I called.

Hopefully Brady was in town to hear Alleva beg him to assume duties as men's basketball HC effective immediately.

Dale probably thinks that Jones just needs a few more seasons to put everything together...

This is absolutely what Dale thinks. Hell, he wanted LSU to hire CJJ when he "retired".

Imagine, wanting the lead assistant on a program that just has had 4 straight losing seasons and is about to be put on a significant probation, with no head coaching experience to take your place. And you finally get him hired....hell yeah you are going to think he just needs a few more seasons. If he was delusional enough to think he was the man then why wouldn't he be similarly delusional now?

I walked right next to Dale Brown today. Should have asked him what he thought about Johnny

Sad part is we use to be a top 15 program in basketball not all that long ago

Outside of '79-91 and a couple of good tourney runs in '86 and '87 I don't think we were ever at that level with any consistency.

However, we did make the tournament 10 years in a row which means we were a top 40 program for a that period. We are far from that now and with the state of the program and it's current leadership right now we have no shot at getting back to even that level, and that should not be acceptable IMHO.

Fair enough. I remember growing up in 80s and 90s and we were a tournament team and respected program every year. No reason we can't be in the discussion for conference titles

LSU won two tourney games in the 90's, that ain't top 15. Dale's best team were in the 80's, his most memorable teams were in the 90's because they had more legendary players.

Dale: Everyone knows I pushed for Johnny to be coach. It's a little embarrassing.

Brady: Well you should be proud, Dale, he learned it all from you. Ha! Ha!

To bad Alleva is a crap AD and will not hire a coach that isn't served up to him on a platter.
