Kid should be playing offense and would be a weapon. He has a terrible time in coverage and cannot tackle worth a shite. I have seen enough to know he does not belong in single coverage.

I've always thought this. He'd be a killer in the slot.

Yep. We need to move him. Tackling and the cushion he gives is terrible.with the ball in his his hands he is electric. We have too much talent at db to not have someone step in. SS looked ok.

I haven't really had the chance to watch him this year. Last year he looked great in my opinion. I predicted he would be our top corner this year, but Tre White is taking it to a new level. White is our best cover corner since the GOAT, PP7.

He is funny to watch in the secondary though. Runs in circles sometimes trying to figure out who to cover.

He's got some moves though.

Yeah he's having a hard time in coverage plays the long ball pretty good but cannot cover the short intermediate routes at all looks like Dwayne Thomas last year

He's raw and fast with a ton of talent... but dem hips just don't turn too quick, and he takes terrible angles sometimes! I agree, his place is on offense and ST where he can just turn and burn with little wiggle.

A QB like jville st had last night, he picked on poor Donte (and Beckwith) all night. Ricky better cheat over a little more.

He's got ball skills but could see a lot of matchup problems. Not ready to write him off as a CB just yet

They need to just tell him to look at the ball and go get that ball. LOL! We need another honey badger, taking what he wants, stealing the football.

He curred out of a tackle last night. Lowered his head, turned sideways, barely brushed against the player when it was an opportunity to lay the boom.

He's not cut out for defense, period.

Les would never utilize him properly in the offense

Plays I noticed Donte:
1. Great play on attempted receiver screen. Donte beat the attempted block. Pass was overthrown, but Donte was there.
2.QB scramble and throws deep to receiver who was perfectly covered by Donte.
3. Successful 10 yard out to receiver who was perfectly covered by Donte. It took a perfect throw to barely beat him.
4. Donte gives up 30 yard pass to the one yard line. Single overage. Donte beat by five yards. He played it well through the receiver's first move. The part of the route where the WR got separation was not on TV. I don't know if Donte slipped or the WR made a double move. Luckily this play was called back.
5. 76 yard TD on which Donte and Adams misplayed the ball. Very peculiar play. It reminded me ofthe play that cost Auburn the national championship against FSU. It took two players to screw up. I believe Donte got caught watching Adams. He thought Adams had the pick, and stopped playing the receiver.
6. Third quarter quick in against single coverage by Donte. Excellent coverage. Would have been bang-bang had it been a good throw.
7. Donte on a fair catch type interception.
8. Slant in front of Donte, but not his fault. The call beat the defense. Donte was in zone.
9. Five yard completion to Donte's man. Donte was not in press which is the only way to stop that play. Did not appear to be any fault of Donte's, but he was replaced by Paris on next play. Maybe Donte was supposed to be in press.

Paris played the rest of the game. Definitely a poor game by Donte. This secondary is so good he can't afford to relax. Savion looks like a very aggressive corner. Paris looked good. Tre White looks like a man among boys.

D. Jackson didn't have a good game. Remember, he is our 3rd Corner. OCs are not going to target Toliver or Tre. Donte is the weakest of the 3. He will improve. Obviously, there was open competiion for the 3rd DB and Corey and Aranda thought Donte was our best option. As deep as we are at the position, we need to trust the coaches on this one

He's absolutely lost but consider he is only a sophomore, he comes from a school with shitty coaching, and not only that, he played both ways. So he doesnt have a ton of live reps at CB.

Toliver hasn't looked that good either so far this season. Of the 3 only White has been playin solid football. White is having a Heisman year so far. lol
