Bet it is someone who post on here. He just had to get some information about potential players.

If indeed this guy is the Rigby listed in your link I see no problem why he was there.

quote:

Derrick Crudup, Brian Rigby and George Spencer have joined a skilled group led by the legendary Dwight Thomas. All three former football coaches will serve as Recruiting Specialists, and all three bring valuable insight into what makes a good football recruit for college level play.

quote:

LRS Sports Recruiting Services specializes in identifying and evaluating student athletes who best meet the criteria of college football programs.

Also

quote:

For the past ten years, Brian Rigby has coordinated and implemented football combines for Louisiana’s high school talent, including Nike® sponsored combines in Louisiana. In 2003, he originated the Bayou Bowl game, and directed the first Louisiana versus Florida All-Star football game held at Walt Disney World in Orlando a year later. He has coached and directed national all-star games and was president of USA High School Football in 2004. Rigby is also a past president of Louisiana Athletics Down on the Bayou, LLC and was instrumental in the creation of the inaugural 2009 Sportsman’s Paradise Bowl, a fundraising event that is sanctioned by both the Louisiana High School Athletic Association and the Louisiana Football Coaches Association to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Rigby simply knows football in the state of Louisiana like no one else.

He sounds like a recruiter to me.
Why is the advocate saying he isn't?

comment from the article:

quote:

This man is a product of our community's obsession with college football. We have to stop now. We have to find something more constructive to do with our time and money so our state can begin to flourish. If we focus on college football the rest of our lives then we will become 70 years old and just look back and think.. "Did I really just waste my whole life watching an irrelevant football game? And for what? I've got nothing to show for it."

The advocate doesn't have the crack research staff we have on the rant.

But did he have a right to be at the camp? Recruiting specialist or not.

Evidently he was in a part of the complex reserved for only parents and when asked to leave he refused.

That in my book is reason enough to call the po-po.

You would have thought The Advocate would have done a little more research before airing this story.
Knowing the guys background would have been better than just putting "A man claiming to be a recruiter"

This sounds like Clean from the Recruiting Board to me.

Seems this is why he was arrested, which has nothing to do with being a recruiter.

They probably said he isn't a recruiter because he isn't as it relates to the purpose of this camp, and he was probably asked to leave because he was looking to advance his own cause at an event that is not open to the public.
