If you're a boss you have to hold a subordinate accountable for that performance

CPM approves of those decisions. We always wave runners home regardless of how little chance we have to be saf. Been doing it since 2007.

Cain is just following the philosophy of being very on the basepaths implemented by Maneiri.

I don't know about that but cain cost us 2 runs tonight and we still won. the guy sucks at coaching 3rd base and has all year long. I don't think he'll get better; he just isn't aware of the situation and doesn't process the basic facts that matter. sending a guy from second after a sharp hit to short left should not even be an issue in college ball.

I'm all for aggressive but to send duplantis on a line drive perfect one hop to left field was legitimately retarded.

I don't have a problem with it. We had the momentum and 95% of the time that throw is short hopping the catcher or up the line....any bobble or extra movement to catch that ball at all and Duplantis is safe. It was a great throw.

He had the ball when the runner was 100 feet from home. He actually was completely shocked he ran and threw him out easily flat footed.

You do know that having the momentum is a reason not to send him right? Especially with what would be bases loaded. Your only rule as a third base coach is never get the third out at home. Especially in that situation

Will Davis was much less aggressive as a 3B coach, IMO.

Apparently it isn't Mainieri's rule, and it hasn't been all season. You're aggressive or you aren't. We've had runners thrown out all over the place all year long and it's because they are aggressive on the bases. Being as we are ranked in the top ten and on our way to hosting a regional and possibly being a national seed, I'm not going to second guess.

Bunt wasn't his fault, the second one the CF just threw a dart--that could have gone either way. But the THIRD one the whole section I was sitting in was yelling HOLD!!! Sharply hit, fielder was shallow, but none of that matters to Cain. Of course, Reid tapped out to start the next inning so maybe you take the chance...
F it, we won!!!
