Not Deichmann...

2 runs scored, 1 RBI, 1 walk, 1 stolen base. Yes he was hit less but come on. Don't act like he did nothing out there.

I don't think that's necessarily what he's saying. Moreso that his comments didn't cause a mutiny or cause the team to come out and play like dog shite.

That's exactly what I'm saying. Last night people were acting like this team wouldn't give a shite about the game today. Those who said that were wrong.

Only really dumb people would expect that.

Just from the first 4 pages of this thread:

Nothing changes with this guy, he's a loser and has no business running a program like LSU. Marinara can GTFO.

Only 2 of those are legit. Crazy was talking about media attention. And Kim was asking if the team would be inspired by the comments. Never suggested they would revolt.

Crazy was talking about the team's motivation. As was Kim.

My post was about the team's inspiration to play today. Obviously, it wasn't an issue.

I don't understand why you can't just agree that the team played inspired today. That doesn't mean that had anything to do with Paul Mainieri. You aren't giving him a compliment just by saying the team played inspired lol.

I think they played well. Tell me, what measure do you say inspired? Greg's SOs? Valek's start? Gilbert's outing? Some guys played well; some didn't. Is every win inspired? Is every loss not?

Lol I'm done. You're something else. If they played uninspired, it would have shown on the scoreboard.

I didn't say they were "uninspired" either.

I'm watching GOT on HBO2. She's at her parents picking up our son who stayed the night.

I was not even coming close to agreeing with anybody who said the team would revolt or anything stupid like that. Any player that revolts or doesn't play his best, even when coach craps on him should be kicked off of the team. I was questioning whether Coach's comments were appropriate and whether they would inspire the team. I still don't think anything positive came from those comments, do you?

I don't know that the comments impacted the team at all. The team played very well today. They looked inspired to me which was your question.

I guess there is no way to know until we hear from some players. I just don't see how singling out one play and one player as the reason for the loss can be a positive thing.

Yes, they did. Coming back after the early 3 run deficit was impressive. Like I said earlier, I did not expect the team to revolt and lay down today--I just happened to quote that post in my reply. No player, regardless of how bad he feels he's been treated by the coach, should ever give less than 100%. Play the season and transfer if you want to, but don't lay down in protest.
