I hope not and here's why. Alleva is still here so if JJ gets fired right now, there's too much of a chance Alleva will have something to do with replacing him.

This season is already completely wasted. I'd rather hold out and see if we could wait until JA gets fired first.

I don't even give a shite anymore and won't until LSU makes a decent hire for roundball.

There is no value in firing Jones midseason.

It looks like he'll finish out this season.

It's not happening. I'm hearing he won't be fired until the end of the season. It's already been determined

Auburn is beyond terrible. If JJ gets blown out against Auburn tonight and if Alleva has any balls, he should be fired on the spot and not allow to fly back with the team. Also tell him not to bother coming in the office to pack up his belongings. We will box everything up and ship it to his house.

But I have a feeling that Kentucky will be the game JJ gets canned. After a 50 point loss, Alleva will have no choice but to do it.

it would be ironic if JJ gets fired today...after LM got fired right after the Auburn game...they may start calling it "the curse of Aubie"

He should and will be fired. But this is ridiculous. You sound butt hurt over your nephew.

Actually, I've seen that happen to three people where I work. That's how I came up with the idea

Do you really want Jones getting fired mid-season?

Alleva fired Miles with two months to go in the season. EVERYONE, thought it was a great move because it allowed LSU to get a jump on the search for a new coach. Ultimately, even with a two month head start, Alleva rushed to hire a guy who would still be available today to take the HC job.

It's not out of the realm of possibility that Alleva would just hire the interim coach if he had just a bit of success from here on out, and a "head start" on the completion has already proven to be completely useless.
I think the best thing that can happen just allowing Jones to finish the season and hoping that some strange confluence of circumstances leads a good coach to fall arse-backwards into Alleva's lap. That's about the best we can hope for with Alleva captaining the ship, like Columbus accidentally discovering the "new world."

Nope. He just signed a 4 year extension. Rumor is Cleveland State was trying to lure him away and Alleva sniffed it out.

It's a good thing we have Alleva running the show and not an emotional 12 year old like you.
