Could someone please tell me how we lost 3 games last year (2013)?

With Mettenberger, OBJ, Landry, Hill, LC, VA, EP, Copeland just on offense.

I know our defense was suspect, especially the secondary, but we should have been 11-1. Outside of Alabama, no team on our schedule should have beat us.

Yeah it's almost 2015, but I was watching the LSU-Auburn game from 2013, and it dawned on me that several of the above mentioned players, even some I didn't mention are contributing in the NFL. What gives?

Scored less points

I was at all of our losses.
UGA: Beckham dropped punt
OM: Offense didn't show up/3 or more ints/dropped passes allover
Bama: Fumble on the goal line, 2nd half shite the bed

Allowed 44 points on the road and then 27 points on the road. I know 27 isn't a huge total, but relying on even a great offense to score 28 on the road is kind of like relying on your guards to shoot 55% from downtown and expecting to advance in the Big Dance. It can happen, but it's shaky ground. The defense got way better in 2014, and the offense had some growing pains; hopefully the stars can align in 9 months.

If we could have made any stops on 3rd down, we prolly would have went 11-1. We couldn't get off the field against Ole Miss or Georgia.

Our defense wasn't very good. Offense wins games....defense wins championships.

Our defense was basically a red carpet. Losing Mingo, Montgomery, Reid, Minter, and Logan all in one draft killed us. Not to mention Mathieu, Claiborne, and Brockers a year before. Every single one of them were underclassmen.

The O-Line flat out quit against Bama while we were still in it. I've never been so disappointed in an LSU team's performance in years.

On another note, we've had enough talent to field an NFL expansion team the last few years and nothing to show for it. We basically out recruit the country and can't effectively coach the talent we have.

It's amusing to me that people think things will suddenly improve when recent history tells us the exact opposite.

defense couldn't stop the run....secondary youth showed against UGA. I was there watching Murry throw the ball 20 yards per pass on that last drive, and the DB's werent' even turning around to try to stop the ball when it came. They were just playing stop the guy once he got it. The fumbled punt set that up. As said above, Ole MIss is on Mett. Otherwise the D was uncharacteristically weak that year.

There are alot of reasons because life does not exist in a vaccum, but some big reasons why (one fort each game) are

-No defense at all against a really good QB vs UGA
-Turnovers and inability to stop the run vs Ole Miss
-Turnovers and inability to stop the run vs Bama

Stop with this shite. They team was good but man you act like we didn't have one of the toughest schedules in the league. We lost on the road to a health Georgia team. We lost on the road to Bama. The only head scratcher is OM; they were pretty banged up when we played.
