Could LSU afford a monetary incentive to urge fans to stay?

This might end up being a very dumb question so fire away:

Could LSU ever do something where fans that stay until the end of the game earn a chance to be one of 500 seats to be refunded for their ticket?

Or maybe everyone could earn a percentage of the ticket price back?

Has LSU ever done this?

Could it ever be done?

Is that an anus of an idea?

The product was better and so was the length of stay by the fans. Had it been remotely close, it would have stayed full.

The idea of having to give monetary incentives to keep fans in the stands would make us the butt of every attendance joke in the nation.

I was there until the end. But, they are ruining the game day experience with all of the commercials and review of plays. All games now are over 4 hours. Pros are 3 hours. They have to speed up to the game because people will not sit through a 7 minutes commerical to then get the team up to the line and the guys in Birmingham then say....wait we need to look at the last play which occured before commericals. All of that on top of the traffic issue.

To stay? I doubt it

Could there be an incentive plan for when your tickets are actually used though? Maybe

I left halfway through the 3rd. Fix the above and I'm there until the end.

Our flasks were drained and River Road contraflow would have made it forever to get home/to the bar. I was downtown with a beer in my hand by the start of the 4th.

Sorry but traffic is the issue with me. After a long day of tailgating and the game, sitting in traffic like that is utterly painful. Evacuating a hurricane isn't as bad.

Fix the roads, traffic plan and sell alcohol and you'd have your full stadium for most of the game. Not much is gonna stop people from leaving during a 4th Quarter blowout against a mediocre opponent though.

Was about to say our pizza sponsor Papa Johns is slammed before games till halftime. But if they could somehow give away remaining free personal pizzas to fans who stay till the end. I have raided the surplus at Bayou Fest and gave away about 30 of them in our section(i knew the employees an they were about to trash 50+ of these small pizzas).

Maybe a coupon for free pizza at later time (much more realistic because of variables).

Last season there was a chick fil a stand in the south end zone, lower level... it's not there this season. Bummer. Not sure if it moved to another location

The university will magically build an 8 lane bridge across the MS River at the vet school. As well as widen Nicholson, Highland, and Stanford for 2-3 miles in each direction.

I personally don't leave early but I go out of my way to sit at our tailgate after the games for 2-3 hours before packing up. Sitting in traffic for 2-3 hours just not moving is fuching insane. I don't blame people for leaving, I wish they wouldn't but I get it.

With that being said LSU/Baton Rouge is going to have to do something to fix the roadways. River Road Expansion seems the most likely and clearly the best option. Gotta get a 4 lane no stops all the way to downtown and at least Lauberge. Would solve so much of the congestion.

Games are too long. I've been going since the late 70s and they've added a couple of hours. I used to go as a student to when we had a 730 start and was back in married student housing for the 1015 sports to see highlights.

TV is to blame.

I stay to the end anyway.
