Just admit you are one of the idiots on here that believe if a white kid is starting, certainly there must be a younger black kid on the roster that should be instead.

No, I don't believe that. I only see purple and gold. I go by the stats...LaCouture had 33 tackles and 1 sack last season.

He may be experienced, but he's not our best DL, not even close. We had extreme d-line depth issues (thanks to BHaley and JChavis), so he was forced to play early.

That's not a dig at the kid, I'm just stating facts. I think his leadership will be missed.

Do you understand the role of dlineman?
Do you understand why it's such a good thing when you have dlineman that can eat up blocks?

Do you understand the role of lb play on a defense?
Do you know what leadership and experience means to a football unit?

Ah, forget it.

No losing him hurts.

Even if TV or Gilmore would have eventually taken his starting spot, we lost important depth.

Having potentially 3 guys capable of starting rotating and staying fresh the whole game would have been huge.

Tackles and sacks don't always tell the story of how good or bad a D tackle is playing.

I want FH, GG, etc to make a move and get ready - they have been pretty invisible since they arrived.

When you say "FH" do you mean Frank Herron? If so, he's been anything but invisible. That guy is a tank and will shine this season.

Helps that FH and GG by all accounts have had really good camps. The freshman NT will be ready sooner rather than later to get meaningful snaps. Neal isn't getting press because of key and tv and DG. That's good because he's gonna maul o-lineman. Look what he did last year. He was on fire down the stretch and is so damn strong. Wrap your head around our startin 3 dlineman. Neal TV and Godchaux.. Scary scary group.

I am not so sure he is a bona fide NFL prospect. Reminds me of Josh Downs.
