Control YOUR controllables - Embrace (or not) Coach O

As I have moved forward in life, I have learned to control what I can control, and then to decide what to do with the "uncontrollable".
In this case, what I think about Alleva or the process, or UT's situation, or Jimbo Fisher really CAN DO ME NO GOOD.
It comes down to one thing, and one thing only.
How deep is my LSU football love?
In my case, I am far from a "homer", and have issues with mindless "Posi-Tigers", but what this comes down to at this moment in time is:
1) Love of the Tigers - My love for the Tigers outweighs everything else. Always has, and always will.
2) I had no vote in the process, and I chose to embrace Coach O, because that is the decision those in power have made. That does not mean I would have done the same thing, just that I had no vote.
3) I can use this to further develop my emotional intelligence by taking deep breaths.
4) I can choose to look at the positive elements of this process, because anything else will only appease me in a momentary tantrum.
Now, that does not mean that Coach O is immune from me expressing issues with his decisions in the time ahead; after all, this website is named "the rant", so I reserve that right.
But, at the end of the proverbial day, I will fully embrace Coach O, and I ask for folks to lift out of their emotionally-challenged temporary condition, and to do the same.
I know many are not ready to do so, but I point you to the above in my appeal for you to join me.
That is, if you share my level of love for LSU football (see #1 above).
...If not, wallow away in your futile attempt to emotionally appease yourself. It won't do you or our LSU Football Tigers any good at all.
So....THECEO says: Geaux Coach O !

You do have a vote: buying tickets.

I pay a LOT for my season tickets. That is part of #1 above.

Disappointed and disgusted with the decision - that much I am certain of.

This is your right. Do what you think is best for you. But, consider the big picture of your reaction.

In all honesty, what do you disagree with?

It's just a game. A game throwing and kicking a ball.

Not true.
It is about relationships. It is about excitement. it is about passion. It is about strategy. It is about learning. It is about character development. It is about opportunity to many young men who otherwise would be in despair. It is about celebrating life with family and friends in a unique way. It is about our Tigers coming down the Hill. It is about tailgating. It is about 4-corners and chills for the Alma Mater. It is about me recalling me, my Dad and our Tigers, and my longstanding love for the memories of me and Dad bonding over our shared love for the Tigers.
Meaningfulness in life extends from "shared emotional space", and LSU football offers this to many.
So, no, you are dead wrong.
it is much more than just a game.
