Very happy he gets another year of eligibility. Excellent blocker, catches the ball well & to my knowledge doesn't get flagged! He has the potential to be a quality NFL fullback similar to Jed Collins. Very underrated football player and will play a major role in our offensive success next year. Welcome back Connor!

Do we know for sure if he's returning?

Why would a fullback ever leave early for the draft?

Why wouldn't he? He'd start at fullback & raise his NFL stock. I'll go out on a limb and predict he returns.

With all do respect, fullbacks are rare commodities now in the NFL nowadays. I love the guys but at the moment I just don't see him in the league, especially considering that there's only one on each team. Copeland? Yes, Neighbors? I just don't know. I do love the fact that he gets an extra year though, he's been a baller this season and we need him next year because we don't know how good Melvin Jones will be.

I once thought that Quinn Johnson would make it big in the NFL but he's out of the league at the moment. Fullback is just a difficult position to project. I think the future of the fullback position in the NFL is a guy like Spencer Ware.

Connor is a notably better FB than Copeland. He is much more polished and displays superior balance.

Even after staying next year, he'll likely be an UDFA. He will have to play special teams to stay on a roster. Could be a good middle row guy on KO return and one of the wing position on Punt Coverage.

I just don't think it's coincidence that we had our best ground game of the year with him as the starter. Granted, it was against A & M, but still it was our best rush total of the year!

Glad he is coming back. He's a beast of a blocker, generally makes good contact with someone, where as Copeland wiffs a lot. Decent runner and can catch if you don't make him stretch to catch the ball (to muscle bound to reach for a ball). He is ideal FB for certain running packages and formations.

The guy really is LSU's future. Without him we don't break the big runs.

Let us hope he comes back again. Maybe seeing Copeland projected as a 4th-5th rounder has he wanting to leave?

I really like Connor. He takes good angles for his blocks. I like that he is a legacy for Bama, opening running lanes for LSU backs.

I like Neighbors but he does not have the potential to be like Jed Collins. He is not even the best blocking fullback on his college team. How many NFL teams use a fullback? You have to be really good to be one of the few. These fullbacks are almost like H-backs now.

who do you have as being better on LSU's team? The only other fullback that gets much time is Copeland, and he is not a good blocker. Then you have HIllard, and while HIllard may make a better rounded FB, he is not a better blocker. Jones is just a freshman and we haven't had a chance to see what he can do. Maybe not the best in the SEC but certainly the best on his particular team.
