No he shouldn't.. He still provides depth.. Ya know on the dline they can drop like flies in no time. He's not dominant but he can eat DT's enough to allow playmakers to do their thing. He's a great teammate as well. Doesn't matter if he plays 4 min or entire game. Those are veteren guys we always need on the roster. If anything just to help the young bucks

Let me get everyone's opinion on this: does Chark have the skill set to be our go-to receiving threat if Chi does leave? I've always kind of looked at him as a speedster/deep threat, doesn't get a lot of targets but is always a homerun threat. Because if Chi is gone, Chark is kind of it as far as veteran players.

I have no doubt Chark could and would be a dominant go to guy. He catches everything and fights for balls. This guy was definitely a diamond find. He's long fast and tough. Really like Chark!

Yes, Chark can be the go to receiver, should Chi leave. But he should get plenty of help from a talented and deep corps of wide receivers.

Chi needs to stay another year. He could vastly improve his draft stock in Canada's system.

Chark is better tha Chi in almost every facet of the game . Chark was our go to WR this year, part of it was Danny/Chark having some chemistry developed . Not saying Chi can't be as good or better but Chark played better imo. I would be more upset with Chark leaving than Chi TBH though . Keeping both would be ideal but I think we keep just one of the 2.

Chark was already the go-to receiver by the end of the year

Chark was our best receiver this year by far. If he stays, he will be the go to guy, and probably a Day 1 WR selection on NFL Day 1 2018. He is an important "Come Back"

I dont get the hate for Gilmore...i think the biggest thing this year was he was forced to play a spot he doesnt fit...hes a 3 tech DT or a 34 DE. Hopefully the mix of Ed Alexander Shelvin and unicorn play the nose and allow him to move outside next year bc he could play here til hes 40 and still couldnt play the nose

TBH, Gilmore should just declare. It won't help his stock when he's playing behind Ed Alexander next year

quote:You know, I keep reading this statement, but the fact remains that you have to make it through the first contract to do so.
But a lot of guys are just trying to play into the second contract anyway
After the year Dupre had, he's risking becoming a marginal prospect. He's not going to be taken high and pampered/coached up, he might be taken middle rounds and have to put up or else.
Looking at this from an objective standpoint (ie Saints): he's big, but not as big as Coleman, and he doesn't play big. Poor hands, poor routes, not clutch. I wouldn't risk him as anything more than a project at this point. I'd be way more interested in Chark if I were looking at LSU guys.
A good senior year would do a lot to boost his stock.

He's definitely not a DE

DL Davon Godchaux says he hasn't made his mind up about draft. Focused on Louisville. Will think about draft after Bowl. #LSU

Godchaux needs to go. I selfishly want him to stay, but he had a very good year, will have a very solid combine, and should get drafted in 2nd/3rd round. He has a rough family life and a child. He should get the clock started towards that second contract.

To the jackasses who are digging a good kid in Greg Gilmore, where did you play? You sit on your bar stools in the local sports bars or play your stupid Madden games or draft your Fantasy Football teams and think you really know something about football when if you got hit one time, you would cry like a sniveling coward. Quit dumping in players who work their butts off everyday at practice and in the games

Thanks for that! They are pitiful human beings.

Anyone that doesn't see the progress that Gilmore made this year is either blind or knows nothing about the game! Last year he was not much help;but this year he mostly held his own as the year progressed...I dare anyone on here to go tell Coach Pete or CEO what you said negatively about his player...you'd be a grease spot...oh, that's right; you already are! lol
