...blaming the water for finding the hole in the boat. What did you expect? Marcus Spears is correct. This whole place needs one big wake-up call. And it didn't start last Saturday. Long overdue.

Life's too short to get all worked up over a bunch of kids playing a game. Do I love LSU and want us to succeed?? Yes. But am I going to let it consume me when we aren't doing well? No.

I am going to go and tailgate and have a good time and enjoy myself. Win or lose, we do this for entertainment.

This coming from a 32 year old alumni that used to live and die with every win or loss. Just realized that there are more important things in life.

This is probably the best position to take. I've often thought about Clemson winning it all in 1981 and then retreating back into football obscurity for 35 years. I think the whole process just takes waaaay more time than we might think.

Yea, I totally agree but the only problem is our fan base sees our former coach going on an all time run with a rival and it's making us all delusional.

yeah, and you were against him being hired when some of us were saying we need to give the guy an interview. I believe you said he had to go to a mid level program first. He doesn't deserve to take over a premier program like lsu.

now your on the row boat.

I like to believe that most of us are rational people in our daily lives. That's why we come to a place like The Rant and act like unhinged lunatics; because we don't do that kind of stuff IRL.

Do losses piss me off? Yes. Does life go on? Yes. I still showed up for work on Monday. I think we all understand that there are more important things in life, like paying my mortgage or finding a cure for cancer. But just boiling everything down to "well its a bunch of kids, and in the grand scheme it really isn't that important" kind of takes something away from the experience.

Its kind of hard to have, what was once known as a passionate fan base, yet have these fans feel that their passion is no big deal. Because at the end of the day, really, what does it matter?

Im much more concerned about our great university infrastructure crumbling and academic accreditation plummeting and loss of excellent professors. I love LSU football but all great programs have bad years. Alabama has had a bunch and certainly more to come. Fl St TX Ohio St Miami USC. LSU will have success with talent it currently has and with want our state puts out in recruits. Our fanbase overreacts over one arse whipping like we are Nebraska now. The lets these stupid millennials get them amped up and the ignorance starts flowing on the TD.

Don't get me wrong, I still get whiskey'd up and go into every game and scream my head off. I also make 2-3 away games a year. We donate a lot of money to TAF. I support the team like crazy but I see it more as a fun release from the stresses of life.
