Do you want to be an NFL player? Then take your talents to the Bayou because LSU leads the NFL with 38 former student-athletes currently on team rosters.

Last time I checked Les is paid by LSU, not the NFL.

ALL of the DBs are also only 5 years or less experience. That number could get really high in the next few seasons.

It is a nice stat to own but unfortunately this is the only stat worth bragging about in the past few years.

My argument would be the gap in the years of some of that talent. Not all guys were playing together at full potential because of early departures. When you have a guy like Mathieu coming into his own, you had a guy like peterson heading to the NFL instead of having both of them at their best at the same time.

LSU - 38
Alabama - 35
Gerogia - 34
Florida - 31
Auburn - 26
Tennessee - 26
Texas A&M - 20
South Carolina - 19
Missouri - 17
Mississippi State - 16
Arkansas - 14
Ole Miss - 13
Kentucky - 12
Vanderbilt - 6

Winning percentage 2003-2014 (12 years = roughly max NFL career for all but QB/K/P)

LSU
Alabama (based upon on the field wins = 21 more than official #)
Georgia
Florida
Auburn
Missouri
S. Carolina
Texas A&M
Arkansas
Tennessee
Ole Miss
Miss. St.
Kentucky
Vanderbilt

Fairly close correlation.

For the most part, getting NFL capable players = winning games.
