College Softball Rankings - LSU drops to 3 in USA Today poll

I imagine we will flip flop with Oregon and Florida the rest of the season in for the top spot. Regardless, this team is so close to being the real deal. Hopefully they will continue to win the remaining series, 2 at home versus the Aggies and Auburn, and one road trip to Mizzou. Winning the SEC tourney at home would go a long way and carry tons of momentum into regionals and on to OKC.

Surprised we sit behind UF after taking 2 of 3 from them at their place. That being said, the losses to UK and then MSU last week are head-scratchers.

Should have not gone lower than #2 though. Took 2/3 at a top 15 teams home field.

Hard to win them all…you are going to lose some games along the way.
That having been said, and while it was fun being #1 for a couple of weeks, the polls mean ZERO in the grand scheme of anything. I am much more excited that the RPI stays at 2. As long as LSU continues to win series, they will be a top 8 seed, regardless of what the polls say.

Looking forward to the next several weekends!! Hopefully my mother will have good enough health so I can get over to Baton Rouge for my "good" neighbors from Aggieland this weekend, plus a road trip to Mizzou, then home weekends vs. Aubarn and SEC Tournament.

Florida beat Oregon twice but is still ranked behind them. What matters is the final poll.
Unless Auburn implodes against Bama this weekend in the battle of the Gumps, we will probably have to sweep them in order to win the regular season SEC title.
I just don't see us going 6-0 against A&M and Mizzou. If we lose either one of those series, then it will be very difficult for us to make up ground.
