Baylor only giving up 7 runs all weekend is the surprise for me. TCU giving up 19 is also surprising.

Ole Miss' freshmen got some great experience this weekend. They've played a very good schedule so far. Before the season I had them as a dark horse contender for the SEC title. This 0-3 weekend doesn't really dissuade me from that opinion.

Wish it could have turned out better for LSU, of course.

Had a minor shoulder procedure done Friday morning and laid up for the weekend and watched the whole thing, every game.

My goodness the Big 12 is so much better than the SEC this year its embarrassing. I know its early but that tournament speaks volumes.

Every facet of the game is better.

We got some work to do on our approach at the plate. Overall, I'm pretty happy with pitching. Lange got squeezed big time, but he's gotta expect that with the quality and inconsistencies of umpiring at this level, and work through it. Find those spots, adjust, and hit them consistently. Defense was spotty, and looked chaotic at times.

Everything we are deficient on are very fixable, I think.

Thats a veteran team with a ton of guys that will get drafted and they were never in any of the 3 they played.

I think that's just not true, LSU and TAMU lost games in the last inning against B12 opponents, it's not like we got blown out, sans OM but they were the least experienced team by alot

I wasn't impressed with TCU pitching at all, their hitters are incredibly disciplined though.

TT's defense is hot garbage

Baylor offense is meh.

They're starting 4 true freshmen. Including at SS and C.

How it is a veteran team when we literally have one senior in Colby Bortles? The only two other guys that could be considered a veteran in our starting lineup is Tate Blackman and Will Golson. We have freshmen that usually start at catcher, first, short, and left. Not to mention the freshmen who come come out of the bullpen.

ETA: We have two seniors. Apparently we have a guy named Sean Johnson who's a senior

Immaterial. They aren't a veteran team if almost half their starting line up is true freshmen.

FWIW, Sean Johnson hasn't thrown this year, to my knowledge, and Tim Rowe was the DH yesterday, but won't get significant playing time this year.

Nice Hot Take! Those are probably the best 3 teams in the Big 12 against 1 of the top 3 or 4 teams in the SEC. Florida and either Vandy or USCe would've have to been in the tournament to make your assumption true
