Moved up from 22 to 9 and there is no explinationin the write up. This late in the season, you don't usually see that type of jump. I wonder what Perfect Game has up their sleeve.

According the SEC stats link you posted, the Tigers now lead the SEC in batting average in SEC only games at .303 followed by Texas A&M at .302.

Florida is hitting .269 in SEC only games.

Wow.

With that RPI, it looks like we've got a chance to sneak into a national seed if we manage to win the series vs. Florida and have a decent tourney. Easier said than done, of course...

We also need ole miss to lose 2/3 or get swept by a&m. They're ahead of us in the pecking order to get the 4th national seed for the SEC.

I really dont see the committee giving that many national seeds to the SEC.

Either the SEC or the ACC is going to get 4 national seeds this year. Heck 7 of the 8 seeds will probably come from those conferences. Texas Tech will likely be the other one. The West Coast is going to struggle to even get 2 host sites (Probably Fullerton and a Pac 12 team)

Yep. There's a link on the SEC Rant that says LSU needs 3 home wins out of 4 this week to get a top 8 RPI. That means win the weekday game plus 2/3 from Florida. National seed is very much still in teh picture, which is amazing given where we stood just a few weeks ago.

Their pitching is great, but they win alot of close games because their hitting is suspect at times. We will be in every game this weekend

Northwestern State has an RPI of 40 so that will be another solid RPI win if we get it.

IMO, Florida, A&M, Miss State, Louisville and Miami would have to totally fall apart to not get a top 8 seed. The other 3 are up for grabs.

Has LSU done enough this week to lock up a regional host?

PG is very reactionary. We only jumped 4 teams that had a winning record on the week.

That write up reads like it was written by an 8th grader.
