Top 2-3 in all the major offensive categories and middle of the pack in pitching. Is it time to question the whole "best pitching coach in the country" myth?

Oh, and krob... Attaboy.

So basically with your train of thought of miles wins a national championship this season he is best coach in America. Everything is apparently based off one season and not body of work now days.

Well that's how the rant looks at it

I wondered how the coaches could put together a competitive team after last year's baseball draft and graduation. In my opinion, this team has done much better than I anticipated. Of course I would love to compete for the national championship every year, but in baseball that is extremely difficult. This is still a great team. Keep in mind that there are 298 D-1 baseball teams.

Looking at the SEC only statistics, I am surprised how good our offensive numbers are. Considering how young we are in the field, this lineup could be scary good next year.

If I had a poll, I would place LSU somewhere around 25-30th and that would be generous.

they've already been played. 2 of them to be exact and neither was really close

7-6 isn't a close game?
Either way, no team in Louisiana is undefeated against the rest of the state, so losing a couple doesn't mean you're not the best team

the score was not at all indicative of the actual game

ETA: Regardless, I'm not here to argue which non-LSU team is the best in the state b/c as you have said any of them can beat the others on any given night. I was simply stating that I saw both of the SELU/Tulane games and neither game was really close IMO.
