“Well when (the coaching staff) arrived here at MSU, we wanted to pitch it better than our opponents,” MSU head coach John Cohen said. “That is certainly the case in our ballpark, because it plays so big. We are now getting to that point. Even though we only won one game, we out-pitched LSU the entire series.

I don't know about that one John.

I think it is absolutely horrible that a coach would publicly praise his team. What makes the comment worse is that he didn't lavish praise on LSU in the process.
Apparently he doesn't know the Rant ground rules to make a statement like that.

Pretty sure they only out hit LSU in the game Saturday.

Correct, but out hitting a team has little to do with outpitching a team. Your team gave up more runs, you were outpitched. Either way his team was outpitched twice.

Yea it sounds like the guy can't handle coming into The Box and losing. He also went on to comment on the surface saying how bumpy and choppy it was.

This came from the SEC website by the way.

Wait, what? He didn't say how awesome the LSU fans were for clapping for his pitcher on Friday?!?!? What an ingrateful SOB!

Who cares what that opposing coach says about the series, we won 2 of 3. I don't get why we are so worked up over what Cohen said in his post game comments during this series. They don't pick NCAA Tournament fields based off the opposing coach's comments, so get over it.

I see nothing wrong with a coach not kissing our arse and instead trying to give his own team confidence.

Last year when LSU got snubbed in the NCAA tourny, Cohen was the opposing coach that spoke up the most for LSU.
