Last year in the Super's, Stony Brook had one good pitcher. That pitcher threw over 220 pitches the Friday and Monday before they played us. Stony Brook saved their best pitcher for Game 2 to give him an extra days rest. Paul Mainieri matched Gausman up with their guy, of which their guy won 3-1 I believe. So basically, our #2, Nola, pitched against Stony Brook's #2.
I think Paul Mainieri is going to keep Glenn throwing game 1, hoping for a win, but knowing that LSU will have a decided pitching advantage in games 2 and 3.
