Anyone (besides steelecurtain) have any knowledge or scouting reports of CC's pitching depth and quality?

The fact he left his closer in for 60 pitches with a 6 run lead in the 9th tells me he doesn't trust his bullpen outside of that closer. I wouldn't be surprised to see that closer out there again this series either.

I get the same feeling. I didn't understand him leaving in his closer and/or bringing him in with that large of a lead. He wasn't impressive in the slightest either.

They guy they are throwing today is their Ace, correct? Isn't he 12-1?

If so, they are not just in the driver's seat, they are well ahead of us in another car.

That was their 12-1 "ace" last night. Their "unhittable" closer wasn't impressive at all.

Unfortunately for LSU, our pitching appears incapable of holding down their bats.

we scored 8 runs against them. we could have scored more if not for a baserunning gaff and some players inability to advance runners or get a hit. our pitching from the sixth inning on was bad.

this loss was on the pitching staff as has so many losses this year been.

You're absolutely right. 8 runs should be enough to win most games.

Bullpen and Lange didn't have their best. Hopefully today we improve on that and stil score runs. I have no doubt we'll score some runs today. Our bullpen has to figure it out. If we can somehow get to tomorrow their 3rd starter averages like 5 innings per start I think.
