To me, Coach O has a very very deep voice, but at least you can understand him. He may be from SE La, but his accent is not anywhere near that of Bobby Hebert or even Mike Detillier.
Deep does not = 'Cajun.'
O also makes sense when he talks, unlike Les

He's got a pretty thick cajun accent in my opinion. But I live near Shreveport so what do I know.

Not satisfied with the current revisionism that holds that Orgeron was a defensible hire because " he talks like us" , now the OP wants to suggest that he is a modern day Demosthenes because he speaks that way...
Why not?
Some posters had Brandon Harris winning the Heisman...

My wife and BIL (neither from Louisiana) can't understand a word he says. It's not that his voice is deep, it's "gravelly", like the cookie monster. Couple that with a thick S.La. accent, and it's tough for those not from S.La. to understand him.

True. Thank God! Les should be a White House press secretary. No one can say more without saying a thing.

There was a funny story in the national media back then when Ron Guidry, from Lafayette, was pitching for the Yankees in his first year. Yogi Berra went out to the mound in Guidry's first outting, listened a few seconds, and then turned to the dugout, shrugged, and said "I cann't understand a word he just said". Now, this is Yogi saying that he cann't understand someone.

He sounds like the Waterboy's assistant coach.

He's got a little something else going on besides the typical south lafourche accent.

1. He doesn't have Cajun accent, and the people that think that are not from here.

2. Hebert and Detillier do have Cajun accents, but both of them are immensely more understandable than O. O has Grade 3 marble mouth with a solid helping of cotton.

3. Nobody thinks deep voice = Cajun and I don't know where you got that from.

He's got a Cajun accent, man. Even if it's considered to be not as thick.

Where else but Tigerdroppings could there be a thread about someone's Cajun accent and insult a Coach and the Cajun people too.

The roughness of his voice makes him harder to understand than his accent does. His accent is not as thick as Bobby Hebert or Mike Detillier.. I agree with OP.

Naw bruh. O does have a bit of salt water Cajun in his accent. It's not as hard as Bobby but it is there.

.......I am worthy of this opinion.

I'm waiting to hear him say "pants" to see how much of that down the bayou accent he has left in him.
