I had to guard him in a HS game. I "held" him to 40 points.

He was so damn quick, he was shooting before you even realized it.

When he was outside the three point line and did the dribble between his legs, that was your arse.

He has some of the sickest moves off the dribble I have ever seen. When he was on, there was no defense for his game.

I was also a student while he was there. Dream Team indeed. The thing that sticks out for me was the announcer. "Chris Jackson...........For Threeeeeeeeee". Good memories.

He was amazing. I never saw Maravich in person, but it's hard to imagine him being better than Jackson. Not saying he wasn't, but it's hard to visualize.

I didn't know who he was when we started the game. We got a break away and I dunked it. I told him, I was going to dunk on him all night. He then shot a 3 and laughed at me. He then said, "Hey white boy, that is what I'm going to do all night."

CJ was a shorter version of MJ. Seriously, if you think about it...

You mean minus the high-flying dunks, the reverse double pump layups, the up and under moves, etc? CJ was more like Iverson, almost nothing like MJ, without even thinking about it.
Honestly, his offensive game in college was better than Iverson's as a pro.

He got quite a few alley-oops from Blanton, and his inside game on drives was unreal. Sometimes it seemed like the other team would go all-out to stop his 3's, and he'd just drive in a little and hit a 15 ft shot off the glass like it was a layup.
And LORD the streaks he'd get on. Dude would rain 3's like nobody I've ever seen since.

Chris Jackson was a perfectionist...he'd shoot until he was satisfied..he was unbelievable...even as a kid he would shoot way past dark trying to make so many shots in a row before he would even go home...his high school coach would make them shoot free throws before practice even started until they missed..Chris would make over 100 or better and take up more than an hour or more of practice...needless to say, the coach stopped doing that...dude was phenomenal..look up the game (LSU vs Ole Miss, March 4th,1989) when Jackson and Gerald Glass had a one on one duel...its considered the greatest 1 on 1 duel ever in SEC history..Jackson had 55 pts (a freshman record) to Gerald Glass's 53 but Ole Miss won the game over LSU 113-112..I watched it on TV back then and it was by far another one of the GREATEST games considered in LSU basketball history...

That's actually the first time I've seen Chris Jackson highlights even though I've heard so much about him. He's like a mix between Stephen Curry and Stephon Marbury. His crossover and jumper are SO quick.

Saw Jackson versus Litterial Green (UGA) play against each other in High School. Gulfport versus Moss Point. Quite the show.

Played in a pickup game against Jackson when he was in college, it was humbling.

I can only imagine his numbers had he stayed four years at LSU.

The young man was beyond good. Once in a lifetime great.

I respect his religious convictions. As long as he respects others and lives a meaningful life towards serving God and his fellow man, I will be his brother.

Who remembers his defense.

No one!

But when you trade 2 for 3, it usually didn't matter.

Thanks for posting video. I enjoyed watching #12 trying to guard him. Also enjoyed where CJ places his feet at the foul line to take a foul shot.

Can anyone tell me where he is now and what is he doing. Is he still in America? Is he a radical or has he returned to his roots?

he was also great on the break away. He would hold his layup until the trailing guy would foul him then he would be at the line.
