Did I hear correctly? Chris Blair went Baba Booey after a pitch fell 10 short of the plate.

I didn't hear that, but he tries to use some of Jim's terms during the broadcast that just doesn't sound right unless Jim says it his way. The "Tigers Win, Tigers Win" sounds odd. There are another one or two that escape me, but he needs his own thing.

That guy is a pro and we will be lucky to keep him for long.

I think he's solid. But I miss Jim already. Mistakes and all. I'm sure I'll get used to him.

I would be shocked if he doesn't retire at LSU. Big time play play jobs don't just open up.

It's literally his first month on the job, replacing a legend ("JACK HUNT") that held the position for three decades.

He'll smooth out over time.

Blair is great. I wish hannagriiff would do color, Doug Thompson is terrible.

Has he used "That ball is crushed, it is back, it is WAY BACK! And it is... CAUGHT! WELL shy of the warning track!"

Literally every single baseball play by play guy in the history of the world has done this because sometimes, and I know it's tough for some of you Mensa members to understand this, a ball looks like it's crushed and it only makes it to the warning track.

I was going to post thread today but decided it would get to much hate. I love his voice but I literally never have a clue where the ball is hit. They hit a double late in the game and I can no longer remember the phrase but he made it sound foul. All his fly ball remarks he never says where it is hit or how far.

Literally my only complaint is just not having a clue where the ball is.

I give him a pass on that for this weekend. There were multiple balls
crushed to left field that would have been way out on a normal day
that didn't reach the warning track the wind was blowing in so hard

Huge upgrade from Jim Hawthorne. When the Tigers dropped the first two, I didn't have to listen to him whine and complain. Even, competent, Professional. refreshing change.

Hope he sticks around a long time.
