I said yesterday that it should be considered as one of the 6 semifinal bowl sites.

Sorry, but if this bowl gets a bid over the Cotton Bowl, it's a travesty.

The cotton bowl is a shoe in IMO. They'll probably take them and the chic Fil a bowl. The citrus bowl in Florida is renovating and plans to bid for a spot, but there's already a bowl in Florida and the citrus bowl isn't prestigious enough.

I wouldn't write off a bowl a little further north though, as a bid to appease the B1G

The Citrus Bowl has been called the Capital One Bowl for a long time now.
I really hope the Capital One Bowl does not get a bid. They have an open stadium, and if the weather is bad it can ruin the field. The field that LSU played Penn State on a couple of years ago was the worst field I have ever seen.

Maybe they should have a bowl game at the Lions' stadium in Detroit.

Lucas Oil Stadium (Colts) would work.

I know it's called the capital one bowl now. But isn't the structure still called the citrus bowl?
Posted on 6/27/12 at 10:13 pm to Sev09
Oh I don't know. Maybe you're right about that.
