First off, congrats, you guys made the plays down the stretch to win that game. We had a signature win right there for us and it came apart.

Random stream of consciousness thoughts based on what I saw and what was discussed on this board prior to kick.

- UW dominated that game for 2.5 quarters. Turning points were the fake punt (great call), the injuries to Zagzebski and Herring on the brand new D line, the injury to Gordon effectively taking him out of the game, and not having Stave available due to injury when McEvoy showed he was embarrassingly bad in the pass game. LSU took advantage of those D line losses and really made some nice plays.

- Gordon is the real deal...8.75 YPC average and 140 for the game on only 16 carries. It's clear how important he is to our squad.

- May be time to pump the brakes on Fournette until he shows a little something at this level. Hilliard is the clear #1 and had a great game.

- Dural is the real deal. He was a huge difference maker for you guys. Home run threat.

- The UW O line was fantastic. Any talk of LSUs being vastly better should be settled.

- I think we ran 2 or 3 jet sweeps, and one went the distance. Everyone knows it's coming and it's still hard to stop.

- I didn't notice a vast "speed" difference despite being told by some it would be substantial

- Your QB seemed decent, but that would be a position of concern for me as an LSU fan (as was mentioned by some here last week)

All in all, I don't think UW is as good as we saw in the beginning of the game or as bad as we saw at the end of the game. I'd probably say the same for LSU. I do know that I'll be watching the rest of the season for you guys closely. Good luck the rest of the way.

Edit to add: I predicted 31-24 LSU, so I was pretty damn close there.

I was impressed with the showing by UW fans. I predicted about 15,000 there...seemed like there were more.

Thanks for the win, brah. Submitting your team to our will under circumstances that were far from ideal has contributed notably to LSU folklore. If any other Big 10 boys wanna come down here, please pass along your best regards.

I'm already looking forward to having an SEC power come north of the mason Dixon in a few years.

There weren't more. 15K is probably about right. You'll be impressed by the LSU fan presence in Green Bay.

The speed differential appeared to be in our secondary vs your wideouts, even Gordon got hawked (might have been injured during run but didn't look like he broke stride until trying to avoid Collins). Also in dural vs your secondary.

Y'all are a solid team and I wish y'all the best the rest of the season.

Fair, But we had a lot of guys out, and really young. I'm glad we were able to kick it into another gear, and it gave the young cubs a taste of live competition. LSU will get a lot better, the key was to survive and get the "W"....

Hope you stick around.

Frankly it seemed both teams were overrated a touch.

Gordon is the real deal.

It's funny you have a player named Reggie Love

LSUs d backs are fantastic.

UW #7 is a baller. #31 should take a seat

I actually think that's a fair showing. Your were still far outnumbered, but Houston is probably the number 1 destination for LSU grads and fans who leave the state (profession wise). We travel well. You'll be surprised by the folks who show up in Green Bay in a couple of years.

Solid post/fair assessment. Some of my random thoughts:

Wisky o/line is good.

Gordon is a beast.

LSUs DBs are for real...as is Dural and Hilliard.

Jennings, Magee, Fournette, Quinn, etc. look pretty good and will only improve.

LSU v Wisky was one of the only big boy games of the week along with TA&M and SCE.

Wisky fans were good sports in Houston...can't wait to go to Lambeau in 2016.

Both of these teams will do well this year and have very high ceilings.

Geaux Tigers!!!

Agreed there.

And the thought is that that is when Gordon tweaked whatever he tweaked. WOTS is it's a hip flexor, and he wasn't told that that was why he wasn't getting carries after that until after the game. Very weird and frustrating situation.
