Some of this stuff is almost identical to what people are saying now.

quote:

Where was our offense? JaMarcus Russell is a passing quarterback, yet we attempted only 28 throws and gained only 158 yards in the air. Joseph Addai had a good game running the ball, but when the defense knows you”re not going to put the ball in the air, your running game can”t sustain you. We had exactly one pass play go for more than 25 yards – a 47-yard play on our one and only real offensive drive – yet we have a strong corps of big, fast receivers.

quote:

The capper, though, was Miles” decision to sit on the ball in a tie game with two minutes to go. Hey coach, they call it a “two minute drill” for a reason. If you have an offense that you don”t think can move the ball, then you need a new offense.

Only 28 throws? Sounds like the air raid offense compared to last year

OMG! are you telling me that in a span of 10 years there's been games that we lost and that fans complained about? Is this bizarro world??

In the 4th quarter, Russell was 1/5 for 3 yards and 2 INTs. Solution? Throw more.

Glad to see people calling for Miles's head have always been retarded.

2005 Jamarcus =/= 2006 Jamarcus.

Les has proven time and time again that, when he has the horses, he let's them run.

When he doesn't he's conservative.

It's won him a ton of ball games.

Time to stop with the Les doesn't do this, Les doesn't do that crap. It's pretty easy to see his philosophy and it's not a one trick philosophy.

I don't think you can criticize Miles and Fisher for the development of Russell
He was in the doghouse with Saban and all they did was turn him into the 1st pick in the draft
Early on they didn't let him turn it loose until he got comfortable or they had to like the comeback against ASU.

Nope, that's not what he's telling you. But it's no surprise that you intentionally misunderstood him.

Is "we want LF to run more" almost identical to "we want JR to throw more"? Nobody wants this AJ to throw more; we want AJ to become a good passer.

Yes, because instability with these things cannot possibly e responsible for an inconsistent passing game...
