Although I tend not to overreact after losses, this particular loss and how it was accomplished has me a bit nervous. When was the last time LSU was manhandled at the line on both sides of the ball like that? It seems we are constructing a team that doesn't suit our football philosophy.

In the past, we could always be confident that we had the bigger badder guys in the trenches, and although it wasn't pretty and people LOVE to bitch about it, in the end it wears down the other team and produces wins. This team seems much different, and my concern is much more with the defensive front. It wasn't even a slight disadvantage, it was a very OBVIOUS and large disadvantage. State ran the ball up the middle at will. Picking up huge chunks of yardage at will.

Is this a product of Chavis' personnel? He's the best at shutting down spread offenses, and is known to prefer a smaller faster defense to accomplish such. Now that he's had multiple seasons to build the defense to his exact specifications, we seem grossly mismatched against power running teams. Sure we may hang with A&M and Florida, but I see no way our defense can match up with Bama and Auburn.

We seem to have the skill guys, but where are the "big uglies" that LSU is known for?

Oline problem-not having Pocic in and being way too predictable.

Dline-interior is young. Hunter and rasco can only rush the QB

Big Uglies are going to other schools.

Its very tough for LSU to compete with Alabama on the recruiting trail. The amount of personel they hire and time and money they put in dwarfs LSU's recruiting budget.

I re-watched the end of the game last night. For some reason, my heart was still pounding hoping that we would win, even though I knew we didn't.

Funniest part was the hail Mary when they brought three and every single one of their guys broke loose to hurry Harris. He had to make that throw rushed and on the run. That is flat out poor playing

This brings me back to people just thinking we should dominate, Dts have been hard to come by in LA and godchaux will be a good one but nothing really before him. most of our dts that have been playing were des in hs. We have been getting guys rated by all the services and had offers to great schools. Whats alarming to me is we are going oos yet guys like gilmore, bain and herron are nowhere to be found. That is really worrisome that we would miss on so many dlinemen in one class.

I guess what pisses me off is jennings fricking up the first 2 pt conversion, then us not being able to get a replay on the second. make either of those and we are just trying for fg range. But yeah i watched it again last night and i was getting excited about harris. He didnt set his feet on that hail mary but not really his fault when your oline is garbage.

Was this the roll out to Quinn that was covered? If so, Jennings didn't frick it up, that was a shitty play call. That was the same play as the 2 point conversion that worked in the Wisconsin game...It's like the coaches don't think other teams watch tape and key on certain situations and formations.

Ms St saw it coming and shut it down. Diarse's man dropped down to cover Quinn and the safety came over to cover Diarse in the back of the end zone. Jennings never had a chance.

He had a bad game, but don't blame him for shite that he can't control.

MS St would have also kicked the FG when they were inside the 5 instead of just running it on 4th down.
